We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We look forward to our Edisto Beach week vacation ever year. This house was a fan favorite. The pool, while a little warm thanks to the hot SC June days, was a nice bonus. The house was perfect for our family and friends. Very well decorated and lots of storage, clean and well maintained. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We hope to book again very soon!

The location was very convenient and close to the beach. Edisto is a very small island with a limited amount of restaurants and only one grocery store. Nice place to get away and spend time with family. The pool area was enjoyed by all and was our go-to area daily. We spent most of our time by the pool or on the top deck watching the people and animals walk the trail located just behind the house. The House: Upon checking into the home it appeared to be clean and in good shape.Our family always removes our shoes indoors(just something we've always done to prevent tracking in sand/etc.)
The floors were very dirty and caused the bottoms of our feet to turn black. The bathrooms were not cleaned, the shower still had water beads on it from the previous renters and the shower curtain had lots of mildew on it. We purchased a mop and cleaning supplies and cleaned the home before sleeping the first night. You have to provide your own sheets, etc, which is fine and we knew ahead of time. But once you remove the comforters off of the beds to make them, they had to be vacuumed off due to food and hair on the mattresses. We saw 5 cockroach "looking" bugs in the bedroom and living room also. We found roach spray under the kitchen sink and used it several times. I didn't contact the owner immediately as I too am a property manager and didn't want to cause any issues during our stay. And sometimes things get overlooked. If you do choose to stay at this property, make sure you take bath rugs, as there aren't any. I almost felt like I was at a youth retreat with the lack of common things that should be in a house. I was traveling with my 70-year-old parents, my adult son and his friend that remained in bed after the first day because of sickness. We ended up leaving a day early and I notified the owner and also made them aware of the bugs we found, but honestly, I wasn't making a big deal out of anything. So two days later I got an email from the insurance we purchased for our stay that we had a claim filed on us. I contacted the owners right away and no response. I contacted them 3 times and requested pictures and documentation of the damage because I know we didn't damage anything! I only got a generic message from them with a "don't worry" message, insurance will take care of the damages and we look forward to your next stay! So here I am writing this review and I DID NOT want to do this. Please beware!!We won't be back!
