2416 Windsor II is a Hilton Head rental in Palmetto Dunes, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and an ocean view from the 4th floor. This villa has beautiful light gray wood floors that almost look like driftwood, a serene and tasteful color scheme of soft tans and creams, and gorgeous light blue bedrooms with simple and elegant coastal décor.
The open floor plan makes this area very bright and spacious. When entering the villa, the dining room is to your left and has a glass topped wooden table that seats six. The kitchen is to your right. This large, newly renovated kitchen has tons of white granite counter space and a breakfast bar with additional seating for two. This space is great to all hang out at lunch time when you take a mid-day break from the fun in the sun. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a flat top stove. Off of the kitchen is a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer.
Just past the kitchen is the living room, with plenty of seating for everyone and features a mounted 85" SMART TV with sound bar, a light tan queen sleeper sofa, along with an oversized chair and two arm chairs. The balcony can be accessed from the living room and guest bedroom so you can enjoy a fantastic view of the ocean and the beach along with the gorgeous landscaped lawn and trees. This space is perfect for starting and ending the day with a mug of coffee in hand or a glass of wine after dinner. There are two high Adirondack chairs and a teal blue table that seats four.
Just off the main living area is the master bedroom with a king bed, 55" SMART TV and a big window offering views of the ocean. The newly renovated private master bath has his/hers vanities and a large walk-in shower. This updated bathroom has beautiful tile flooring that continues throughout the shower and touch-screen mirrors. On the other side of the villa is the guest bedroom which has one queen bed and 55" SMART TV. Relax and enjoy the wonderful views from the balcony, connecting to the living room balcony. The newly renovated guest bathroom, located in the hallway just off the guest bedroom, has a single vanity and combination shower with tub.
There is a ton of space in this villa for an entire family to enjoy! With all the bright light streaming in from the windows and all the different spaces from the living room to the balcony, there is a place for everyone to be all together or have some time to relax alone.
The resort amenities include a recently renovated oceanfront swimming pool and a separate wading pool for smaller children complete with a “mushroom fountain.” The pool areas includes adjacent bathrooms, hot tub, large sun deck, and covered gazebo with a grill. A private boardwalk with showers to rinse off the sand leads directly to the beach.
Palmetto Dunes is one of the premiere areas of Hilton Head Island and has three miles of beach, three signature golf courses, world-renowned tennis, and an 11-mile lagoon system where guests can kayak, canoe and fish. There are miles of leisure paths that weave throughout the resort that are great for walking, jogging, and biking. Plus, Shelter Cove Marina on Broad Creek is close by where you will find live entertainment, restaurants, and shops.

Lovely property—tasteful decor— fully equipped. Nice views of beautiful tropical landscaping with a peek of the ocean. Quiet & private. We enjoyed breakfast & late afternoon drinks on the balcony. Windsor II has a great pool & a boardwalk leading to an expansive beach. We loved the location & hope to come back soon.

My wife and two teenagers visit HHI every two or three years, all in all, we've been to HHI about a dozen times in the last 25 years, before and after kids.
We have always stayed in Palmetto Dunes and, more recently, the Villamare complex. However, because I am notoriously a last-minute scheduler, there were no good options available in Villamare so I decided to try a different place and ended up with Windsor II. What a serendipitous turn of events! We absolutely loved Windsor II and we loved 2416.
Windsor II is a bit further off the beaten path, away from the main guard gate. The street is quiet, the complex is quiet, the pool area is quiet, and there's ample covered parking. Access to the beach is literally a minute from the complex, and all of the landscaping and grounds are nicely appointed and maintained. Perhaps because it was first week of August or perhaps because we were further away from the main gate, the beaches were amazingly uncrowded.
This unit is really, really nice - spacious, elegant, tastefully decorated and very obviously recently refurbished. The kitchen is very nicely equipped, the couch and chairs are comfy, and the large screen TV in the living room includes Netflix and Amazon Prime. We enjoyed watching a different episode of Sherlock Holmes every evening. And we loved the views of the beach from the balcony and each room.
Minor niggles - the WiFi speed is pretty slow, the master bedroom bed has a hypoallergenic cover which makes every movement sound like brushing over paper, and the pillows are lumpy - bring your own!
We loved this place and if/when we return in a few years, we'll be sure to try to book here again.
