Our host was very kind and contacted us numerous times before we departed England and once we landed in Italy. He gave excellent directions and met us at the property. The house is very big, light and airy with marble floors upstairs and down, plenty of space for a family of 4 or 6 (no need for children ever to fight over a sofa!). It is decorated in a traditional fashion, which may not be to everyone's taste. My boys were pleased to have a double room each and a lovely swimming pool, which is one of the reasons we chose the property.
Our host gave us free tickets to a carnival which was in the local town and within walking distance from the property and informed us of places to visit and timings. There was a garage to park in which was really handy - so you didn't need to start a trip in a hot car.
We had a few issues with things not working properly, however we contacted the host and they were fixed the same day or as soon as a repair could be completed, we were continually informed of all progress, and our host was very apologetic. The grass could have been cut before we arrived which would have been better.
I am a bit passionate about things being clean, and there were a few things in the kitchen that I had to clean myself before using (inside the cooker, coffee machine, inside cupboards, some plates). Everywhere else in the house was spotless and as there were kitchen products to use - I was happy to do this!
