Excellent self contained apartment within the hotel, very comfortable and the kids loved the private pool

The central area got extremely hot as only a/c in bedrooms; lack of lounge area

Alles in Ordnung

It’s a gorgeous property with a lovely outside area and pool, it was a real treat to be able to relax there after exploring the busy city. It is as shown in the photos. We found it easy to walk into the central areas and felt safe. The bedrooms were comfortable and the property is well decorated. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was enjoyable, it was easy to go into the hotel and have it in the morning.

Whilst we appreciate this is in a city, the neighbours were quite a pain throughout our stay. When I was sunbathing by the pool, there were several children watching me through a gap on the gate and giggling which was quite uncomfortable. The family were playing loud music quite a lot which meant we couldn’t enjoy a nice evening drink in the garden as planned, and we could hear a lot of constant shouting, screaming and barking dogs. We moved from the upstairs room to the downstairs room where it was easier to sleep with the door closed, as the sound came in a lot more at the top. It’s a shame as it did take away from how lovely this property is. I definitely think they should look at the gap in the gate as this did make it feel quite exposing with eyes peering though. It would be nice to have some pillows for the concrete benches as it would make it more comfortable.

Bet and switch

I booked the secret garden and on the same day about the check in time the hotel contacted me saying there was some sewer issue and all the pool and space was filled with black water and they couldn’t find anyone to fix for the rest of the weekend. They offered a different room for me which was a room type I normally wouldn’t not book. I was left with no choice but to accept it as I couldn’t find other hotel on the same day. Next morning I walked into the space where the room I originally booked located. They were two guys swimming in the private pool attached to that room. Obviously there was no sewer issue. I went to the front desk and asked if I could take a look of the room I booked originally, they lied that the contractor worker has sealed the space. Is just lie after lie. I feel it is like a bet and switch. Be careful !
