Sandy point hideaway

A clean and comfortable stay all in all. The house contains everything you need for a stay. Woke up and saw the cows in the meadow behind the house, so cute! Went to the beach in the morning for a glorious swim. Hoping to be back soon!

We arrived when it had already gotten dark, so didn't realise there was fire wood outside. Maybe a mention about them somewhere or a few logs inside would be great. (Not a big issue at all, but just a tip.) Bunk beds a little squeky, but we still slept very well.

Spacious and well equipped. Excellent communication from owner. Lovely garden (unfortunately we didn’t have the weather to make the most of it!)

Expensive compared to other accommodations of similar standard on our 3 week road trip.

There are few things we are not happy about: 1. Charging electric vehicle is not allowed in this accommodation. The nearest charger is only 22kwh and is 700 meters away. It will take more than 2 hours to charge a car. Though this is not mentioned in the description otherwise charging will be organised in Fish creek. 2. House rules specifies that due to the fact that the accommodation has solar installed, washing machine, dish washer should only be used during the day. Again very tourist unfriendly for those only staying for one night. Again this was not mentioned in the description. 3. Tank water is used for hot water. Once used up it takes the entire night to heat up again. It is advised in the room but not the online description. 4. Lots of personal stuff stayed in the accommodation. Many drawers marked “Private”. Fridge is half full with many frozen food. Extra towel is $4.00 each.
