Welcome to Vandy's shack, we love it and know you will too!
This gorgeous retro beach shack is located at Mount Dutton Bay on the Lower Eyre Peninsula and is absolute beachfront. Generations of our family have grown up, holidaying around this area and we have so many special memories. It really is the perfect holiday destination for couples and small families with everything you need for a shack holiday vibe with all the modern comforts. Guests refer to Vandy's shack as a hidden gem.
Guests at Vandy's shack don't leave disappointed - please check out the reviews. Vandy's shack is right on the waterfront and the high standard of accommodation is clean and very comfortable. Included in the price, we supply all linen and towels so that you are truly on holidays!
There is lots to do at Dutton Bay. Relax at the shack or use the kayaks to explore the waterways. The bay holds all sorts of fish for the fishing enthusiast. Dolphins and kangaroos are regularly spotted from the shack and the bay holds a variety of birdlife. Go for walks and enjoy coffee at the Dutton Bay Woolshed. The community at Dutton Bay are friendly, relaxed and casual. Vandy's shack is central to many other great locations including nearby Coffin Bay, Farm Beach, the Coffin Bay National Park, Coles Point and Greenly Beach. Port Lincoln is only 40 minutes away. Vandy's shack is the ideal getaway for a couple or small family!
Vandy's shack is a modernised, waterfront beach shack offering all the modern facilities you could need. The shack has two bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a queen size bed and has great sea views. The second bedroom is large and contains a queen size bed and a bunk bed. This bedroom also has great sea views. The lounge room contains two comfortable lounges, and a TV with built in DVD player. The kitchen is clean and functional with most modern facilities. There is a large modern fridge and freezer unit and the shack is air-conditioned.
Outside there is a large seaside deck with sun lounges for relaxing days. Out the back is a protected entertaining area with outdoor furniture and a large BBQ. Use of the two kayaks is included free when you stay at Vandy's shack.
Pets are allowed by negotiation.

Gorgeous place to stay! The house and garden areas are beautifully maintained. The house is very comfortable and you drift into holiday mode as soon as you walk in. Greg is wonderful, an absolutely incredible host. There are kayaks and a paddle board for use which is perfect for this stunning bay with its crystal clear waters. Walk in, sit back and enjoy the views, the pelicans that come right up to you hoping you have fish to give them, the dolphins that are in the bay daily, the kangaroos that come on to the lawns, the emus that wander through and enjoy pats with Herbie, the local Labrador who takes himself for walks and visits the shacks. We absolutely loved this place!

We loved our stay at Greg’s shack. Mt Dutton Bay is quiet and peaceful, but with plenty of possibilities for water activities. The shack is absolute waterfront so it is perfect for just relaxing and unwinding. It was very well equipped with everything you need for your stay.

This is such a great place and quiet location. We had 5 adults including 3 younger people, and everyone loved the layout, interior decor, facilities, well-stocked kitchen, wi-fi and beach views. The additional caring touches of coffee pods, special teas, bread making machine and ingredients all made it wonderful. Spotlessly clean. Lovely linen. The communication with Greg was outstanding, he was so quick to message back and generous with his information, advice, flexibility and openness. We would highly recommend this place, it's a fantastic spot. Thank you Greg and Sue!

We loved our holiday at Vandy's Shack. Just perfect!House was clean, well maintained and loved all the little extra touches. Loved the use of the kayaks, getting fresh mussels off the rocks, fishing from the local jetty, relaxing on the deck and watching the dolphins.Great communication from the owners before and during our stay.Can't wait to come back for an extended stay.
