SoHome Beach Cottage - Three Short Blocks to the Beach

We spent one month at Wil and Kath's cute beach cottage. The pictures you see are what you get -- small but very functional; clean; well equipped kitchen; convenient washer and dryer. What you may not see is a nice backyard with comfy chairs and grill. Plus, unseen, a cute 2 year old daughter and huge but very friendly dog! Also unseen, easy 3-4 block walk to the beach; 1/2 mile or so into Riviera Village; diverse stores and restaurants around the corner; lots of on-street parking; superb hosts. A bargain for what it is!

Each spring, we make the trek to California to escape the harsh Minnesota winters. This year we were lucky enough to discover "The Beach Cottage". It was perfect for us! We stayed only 1 month....but it was perfect. We were close to the beach, close to restaurants, on a quiet street, easy street parking, full kitchen, state of the art washer dryer, beach cruisers, outside grill, and friendly hosts! As the "Ocean Breeze" reviewer stated, the ocean breeze each day kept everything so fresh and cool! On the quiet evenings, we could hear the ocean...... Needless to say, we highly recommend "The Beach Cottage".

I was on a 6 month construction project in the Redondo Beach area . The owner was great to work with from the very beginning , working with my office to getting the billing lined up directly with them which made my stay little more stress free . This apartment has all the comforts of home and more ,from the kitchen being fully furnished to the front loading washer and dryer . There is a great breeze every day coming thru the front windows . There is a great green area in the back yard with grill and lawn chairs , very nice space to catch so rays in the afternoon. I spent many hours after work waking the beach two blocks away from cottage , truly peacefully . There was a great whole foods and trader joes very near by and 20 minutes from LAX . This is a great place from start to finish .

I was relocating to the LA area and stayed here for 3 months before buying a home. The owners are wonderful and made sure everything was perfect. It is only short 3 blocks to Redondo Beach where I walked along the strand a lot during my stay. The cottage is outfitted with a big flat screen TV and every channel under the sun so no excuses for not being able to find something to watch. The south Redondo Beach area is great (we ended up being a home in Redondo as well) with shopping nearby and a very short drive to Palos Verdes to do some hiking and sightseeing. Perfect for couples or if you are traveling on business and prefer not to stay in a hotel. It's a very relaxing place you will love.
