HYDRANGEA HILL - It doesn't get much better than this for style and proximity. Hydrangea Hill (circa, 1898) is located on a quiet street less than a half-mile walking distance to downtown Lenox, and only two miles to Tanglewood's main entrance. The yard offers a garden atmosphere with a lightly wooded wetland area on the back and side. You'll recognize it immediately by the white picket fence curving around the front as the brick walkway leads you to the front door. The house features three bedrooms, each with quality linens and mattresses; one with twin beds, one with a queen bed, and a master suite with a king bed. You'll love the master bathroom, which features a Carrara marble top, double vanity, and large walk-in glass and tile shower with a spa bench. Without a doubt, the best feature in the house is the large open living space and fully equipped modern kitchen with all you need for a family gathering or for cooking an intimate gourmet meal. The farmhouse style table is 10 feet long and easily seats ten-twelve individuals. For movies at home or sports followers, you'll love the Samsung 65” Crystal Ultra High Definition TV and of course, WiFi throughout the house. On chilly winter nights, get cozy in front of an electric fireplace that offers both heat and ambiance. Other amenities include, a guest bath upstairs near bedrooms, a half bath on the main floor with laundry facilities, and an enlarged paved patio with (weather permitting) comfortable wicker outdoor seating, propane fire pit, and propane grill. We spent another fabulous 9 days at Hydrangea Hill! And then booked it again before we left for next year. Alan is the best host. And the house is everything you could hope for. Spacious downstairs with fantastic kitchen - with all the things you need: dishwasher, great stove, great coffee maker, appliance, knives, dishes, silverware. The living is so comfortable with a giant Smart TV and comfy couch and chairs and ottomans. Bedrooms are great. Beds, pillows, linens are top of the line. Bathrooms are great. Shower pressure is heaven. Air conditioning is great and quiet. The house is beautifully decorated and clean. The neighborhood is charming and quiet. You can walk to town. Oh and the WiFi is strong and reliable. 5 stars is not enough. This house and host are just the BEST!

Every amenity one can think of was readily available and the entire home felt warm and welcoming. Each room was immaculate and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Nice touches were everywhere. The home sits among beautiful trees and greenery making the view from the porch very special. The kitchen, living room, dining area were very comfortable as were the bedrooms and beds. Alan was a great host. His communication was perfect. We would rate this property a perfect 10 and look forward to returning.

If there were a VRBO host ranking higher than Premier, Hydrangea Hill’s Alan should be the first to receive it. Some context: Twice a year, my foursome -- The ParTee Gurlz -- enjoy a 3-day golf getaway -- generally in New England and sometimes in warmer climates on the East Coast. So, we've experienced several rentals over the past few years. While all our hosts and accommodations have been enjoyable, the Hydrangea Hill property was a stellar experience.Alan went above and beyond to make us feel like valued guests: from his home’s beautifully manicured gardens and plantings to the welcoming bottle of Prosecco to the Hydrangea Hill tote bag. The property was immaculate and more than roomy enough for our group. Bedding and linens were generous and high quality. All windows and window treatments were in working order. And, the host’s attention to detail even extended to the bathrooms that offered individual makeup remover packs.This antique home has retained its historical charm, yet affords every modern amenity and is beautifully furnished and decorated. Best of all, it’s in walking distance to downtown Lenox shops and restaurants - the best of which recommended by Alan in his thoughtful welcoming notes.

We stayed with friends over a (rainy) long weekend and were very comfortable. The house was furnished and decorated beautifully, had state of the art appliances and very high quality dishes, glassware, pots & pans, etc. We were delighted with our stay.
