About this house rental

Our lovely Hawaiian plantation style home located on Kauai’s north shore, is surrounded by tropical flowers and plants, and features open beam ceilings and a wrap-around covered lanai. The garden view from the lanai, plus distant mountain views make it a soothing, relaxing place to visit. Wake up to the sun rising on the lanai, and enjoy the setting sun through the bedroom windows.

This two bedroom detached home affords beautiful views and catches the cool trade wind breezes on warm Hawaiian afternoons. Nearby bluffs offer fantastic views of the Pacific, a place to watch the waves, seabirds and whales during their southern migration to the islands. Activities include tennis, horseback riding, zip-lining, hiking, shopping, and of course the beaches. The Princeville resort community is also home to the beautiful Prince Golf Course, named Number One golf course by Golf Digest and is included in their list of America's 100 Greatest golf courses.

The living room includes two comfortable couches along with TV/Roku. Just the place to relax after a wonderful day in paradise. The open ceilings give a spacious feel where you can entertain friends or just chill out.

The complete kitchen includes range, refrigerator, disposal, microwave, and overlooks the garden filled with tropical flowers. Meals can be eaten in the dining area (seats six) or outside on the lanai (our favorite dining space). If you prefer, you can barbeque on the gas grill just outside the kitchen windows. For those "I don't feel like cooking" days, nearby restaurants at the Princeville center (about a 15-20 minute walk, or a couple of minutes by car) or in Hanalei and Kilauea offer fabulous service and delicious local and international cuisine.

The guest bedroom is equipped with two full-size beds, a full closet, and plenty of storage space for clothing. Our house also includes WiFi - perfect for emailing your vacation pictures to jealous friends! (Bring your WiFi equipped laptop, but leave the work at the office.)

The two-car garage not only keeps your car protected, but provides a handy place to stage those excursions to the mountains, the beach, or wherever your adventures on Kauai take you. All linens are supplied. Washer/dryer are in the garage.

Enjoy nearby beaches at Anini and Kalihiwai, snorkeling at Tunnels and Queens Bath, kayaking on the Hanalei River. Dine at restaurants in Princeville, Hanalei, and Kilauea. Walk to nearby sea lodge beach, just ten minutes walk from your door. You'll enjoy comfort, privacy, and quiet that you can't find at a condo or hotel.

This property truly felt like home. Beautiful pictures and quilts throughout the home and overall peaceful and calming ambiance. They had a Lovely garden with all the tropical foliage. We loved eating dinner on the lanai and cooking at home after a day of adventuring. We met a few neighbors and they were very kind. We enjoyed walking to the beach near by and a baby albatross waiting to learn to fly was nearby that we saw every morning and evening. At the end of our stay, there was a magnificent rainbow where we could see end to end. We went snorkeling and surfing and our kids enjoyed using the boogie boards and sand toys. We will definitely be staying again the next time we come back to Kaua’i!

The Baldwin house gets an Ono as the perfect location for all your Princeville activities. Great beaches are nearby allowing for beach time and other activities in the same day. We enjoyed the Kilauea Bakery, just down the road, and a tour of Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens, just five minutes from the bakery. Thank the Baldwins by being a responsible guest and hopefully they will continue their generosity of sharing their home! C. Sandfort

This is a beautiful home in Princeville. The wraparound porch was one of our favorite areas of the home. It was so nice to make coffee and sit out and watch the neighbors and the chickens go by. Beautiful piece of property.The home was nicely appointed and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The host provided things for the beach such as chairs and snorkel gear. The kitchen was well equipped with pots pans, cookie sheets, etc. etc. They even had beach towels for everyone.There is no air conditioning in the house, but there is a nice airflow. They have screen doors on all of the doors and all of the windows open so it stayed nice and cool for our visit.The location is wonderful, near to shopping centers, golfing, and beaches. This is not our first visit to Princeville, but this was one of the best places we have stayed at and I hope to stay again. I can’t say enough good things about this property.

We loved staying in this house and would stay again. It’s layout felt very spacious for my family of six. It felt very well stocked in the kitchen. Even better, it was very well stocked with beach items such as chairs, snorkels, and especially surfboards to use! Had I known that I wouldn’t have brought my own. The location was conveniently close to Foodland. Check in was easy except the VRBO app was glitching and I had to message the host directly to get the passcode for the door (which they were prompt with).

This property was so cozy and in a desirable location. The house was super clean and stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Our favorite spot was sitting out on the patio every morning and evening to enjoy the beautiful views and weather (even in the rain). Perfect for a small family who would like a quiet little spot to relax after a full day of exploring the wonderful island of Kauai.

This home is everything you could want while staying in Kauai. It is close to several beaches and the neighborhood is very welcoming. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch with the geckos while feeling the cool breeze.

Pros: Lovely location in the north just minutes from lots of great beaches and sites. Comfy beds, nicely stocked kitchen so we could actually cook, 5 min from a grocery store, very clean and bug free--which can be tricky on the island! An especially nice perk was having access to beach gear! Cons: No AC, which isn't unusual for Hawaii, but it became a problem for us, especially between 2-8 pm, when the house was pretty uncomfortable. Thankfully they had lots of box fans to use, and we used ALL of them, but it felt like living in a beehive for a week. If you are used to that climate and not having AC then it probably won't be an issue, but sadly I don't think I would return because it was an issue for me.

It's nice to stay in a place that is frequented by the owners, you can tell they love and use the place, and have it set up properly. Very well maintained and outfitted, with almost nothing missing from what a vacay rental should have. It's a beautiful home in an ideal location, with conscientious owners and friendly neighbors. We even got invited to game night at a neighbors home. But don't book here, we want it available for our next trip! Just kidding. Just don't take our time slot!

My family and I have been staying in Princeville for years and honestly this was our favorite rental by far. Everything we could possible need was there and it all was in great working order; there were plenty of towels and spare linens and more than enough dishes in the kitchen. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and that never happens!! This is such a comfortable charming home and we enjoyed every minute!

We had an amazing week here! The house was wonderful! The area is quiet - house had every single thing we needed. It was CLEAN, quiet, very comfortable - our only issue is we don’t want to leave! Lots of places to visit in the area - a short walk took us to an area we could watch the whales on their way through. We WILL come back again!

My wife and I were were pleased with our stay, the house is great and well-furnished and is very close to the wonderful beaches at Hanalei and Anini Beach Park, on of the nicest beaches for swimming and snorkelling in Hawaii. We would not hesitate to recommend.

We loved staying at this lovely home. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. We loved coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening on the beautiful wrap around porch. The bed was comfortable and lots of fans to keep things cool. An added bonus was all the beach equipment including boards and kayaks...tons of beach towels. This house really made our vacation and would absolutely return again.

This is the best stocked VRBO we have ever been at. From kitchen to beach towels they have everything you need. The only con is it does get VERY hot in house Siri the afternoon but they provide plenty of fans to help. And heat is expected in Aug in Hawaii anyway. Definitely would rent again!!

This home was the absolute best accommodations for our family and all of our adventures. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped. This is important as we like to prepare our own meals. The lanai was an incredible area to enjoy family meals together. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of four. Extra bedding if needed. Plenty of linens, even beach towels! Having a garage was great for all of our adventure gear. Laundry facilities were very convenient. The clothesline an absolute delight, as we like to line dry our clothing and it’s perfect to hang everything out after a long day swimming in the waters of Kauai. The garden and art throughout the house made this an absolute dream Hawaiian vacation home. Thank you for hosting our family!

This cute little cottage style home in Princeville was very welcoming and comfortable to stay in. We enjoyed all the amenities and the decorations were fantastic along with the lush tropical scene along. The outside porch will definitely stay there again only thing that I would change is a little more padding on the bed mattress.

This lovely Hawaiian home was Clean, had a great location and was perfect for our family needs. The garage access was awesome and even had beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie broads and a foam top surf board. The neighbors were so friendly and in a cul de sac which would be great for little ones. The kitchen had all we needed to cook most of our meals at home and even some spices! The Bathrooms were great too! We enjoyed the path that runs along the golf course for morning walks and or runs. Hideway beach is within a 20 mins walk. There was even a cute little farmers market that we walked to one morning. We really loved our trip to kauai and will def return but unfortunately with all that said we won't be renting this house again. The beds are terrible!! its like sleeping on cardboard with springs. My back, shoulders and hips were so sore by the end of our time and it took a good few days once home to feel better. Even my teens were saying how bad they are and they can usually can sleep anywhere no problem. Its sad because with just a little investment in new mattresses the house would be perfect and worth 5 stars.

We stayed here with our two kids (ages 6 and 8) and couldn't have been happier. The house is so very well stocked with everything you need to be able to easily get settled--from all the kitchen tools to cook at home to tons of beach equipment (towels, chairs, toys, etc), there was nothing we needed that we couldn't find there already. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely, and the lanai was a beautiful spot to enjoy the mornings and evenings. We had no issues at all with the house feeling too hot even without AC as the windows kept it well-ventilated and cool all day. We absolutely loved staying here and would definitely do so again!

Our host Rich gave detailed check-in instructions and promptly answered when I had an inquiry regarding the TV. The Lanai is a great place for meals or just to enjoy the breeze. Located minutes from the Princeville Shopping Center, Hanalei, Kilauea, and multiple beaches. Property is stocked with towels, boards, chairs, and everything you need for a day at the beach. Great job Rich. We are making our reservation for next year right away! Mahalo.
