Remodeled home with private hot tub, pool access & free ski shuttle

We arrived to a home that has not been cleaned. We had to wait until after 7:30pm for the cleaning crew to show up. And even after they cleaned they couldn’t take the appreciable amount of trash left by the previous occupants. Had to wait until half way through the second day for the trash to be picked up. The house is fine but customer service by Vacasa is difficult to get a hold of and then not very caring when you do get a hold of them. Very cold interactions with customer service.

We had a wonderful stay. With covid, clearly the staff are over worked so there were some bumps but overall a good stay. They need to clear out the dining room chair that only has three legs as a previous review suggested, leaving it at the table is dangerous. Fortunately the person who sat in it is a younger man so didn’t get hurt when he sat on it and fell but, certainly not ideal.

We stayed here with another family for three nights at the end of December. We were disappointed to learn upon checking in that the property does not have a hot tub that guests can use (however we were charged a hot tub fee) and it has not been newly remodeled as advertised. Most of the lightbulbs in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom were out and there was a broken towel rack hanging off the wall in the bathroom. Cobwebs and dust were visible across the ceiling and rafters of the downstairs. Definitely not worth the money for three nights.

location it was one of the most beautyfull places i've been north star resort its a great place to spend time with family and friends

My family and friends enjoyed the stay at this location. The smell at first was a bit strong but I have experienced this in other cabins, by day 2, you really don’t smell it any more. Very welcoming and well taken care of. Loved it!!

This is a nice house that two suits two families with three children each.

The house was great, we loved the location. The environment and atmosphere was lovely. It is in perfect location as it is very close to the lake, but one of the rooms upstairs did not have lighting, the walls were paper thin so you can hear everything, and the over did not work for us.

The property was in the heart of Northstar with superb shuttle service to take you to the resort. House was fairly clean with all necessary amenities.

The house is beautiful on the outside and in a nice neigborhood conveniently located just a couple of minutes driving from Northstar Village. This is the nicest part of this home. However, I have some major complaints about the misleading listing as well as interior of this property.1. Upon entering the home, it had a lingering smell of some spicy foods that had either penetrated the walls, carpets, or furnishings. If you are sensitive to smells like I am, this can be a turn off.2. The carpets are very stained and worn. The listing states that this home is newly remodeled but it is definitely not. The carpets look like they are from the original construction and heavily stained. We took photos of the carpet because we didn't want to be accused of any damage.3. The bathrooms are very small with no ensuite bathrooms.4. The bedroom mattresses are VERY old box spring mattresses where you can actually feel the springs & are the most uncomfortable beds we have every slept on. My husband and I considered sleeping on the couch one night because we woke up with such stiff necks, sore joints & backs. The pillows were also old & paper thin.5. The upstairs floors creek so badly when you are trying to sleep in the downstairs bedrooms that any little movement makes the loudest sounds. All guest sleeping in the downstairs bedrooms complained about the noises coming from the only 1 room that was being used upstairs. If you have children sleeping in these rooms upstairs, forget about getting any sort of solid sleep.6. The most upsetting part of this place is the false advertisement on the listing. The listing states in the Title that this home has a private hot tub but it has a pad lock on it. They are claiming it is because of COVID-19, however, it doesn't state anywhere on the listing that the hot tub cannot be used. The ONLY reason we booked this small home is because of the private hot tub. We could have booked much larger homes with game rooms for much less money, however, went for the splurge on this home ONLY because of the hot tub.7. The fireplace was clearly previously on fire as the brick was black directly above the fireplace & wood mantle was burnt underneath as well. We took pictures of this too. Plus it smells smoky & stinks up the house when in use like an outdoor bonfire.

Lovely home. Perfect for large groups. Short drive from hiking and beach.

It was bit dusty in the house I think coz of the carpet

Great for large groups ! The only issue my party ran into was that the hot tub was broken. Other than that great stay.

Loved staying here for the weekend! Such an amazing relaxing place, with everything you will need to have a perfect weekend! Only complaint I had was that the place had no AC, but the owner did bring us a fan, and at night it got cold enough for us to not mind anymore! Other than that communication was excellent and it was such a perfect stay!

Easy shuttle bus access to ski slopes. Cozy with fireplace and open floor plan. Enjoyed cooking and hanging with friends.

Location is great and everything was functional. Garage will only fit one car and the furniture has aged a bit but hot tub, lay out, space was all great. Thank You.

The home was very clean and conveniently located to the ski mountain. Great parking. The only negative was no cold water in the kitchen sink.

Warm and comfortable house for large or multiple families. Beds are comfortable to sleep in. Kitchen is well stocked. Tons of firewood for fireplace. Ultra convenient to Northstar with 5 min shuttle ride. It would have been helpful to have some sort of welcome binder with shuttle access details...if it is here we couldn't find it. And while listing says you can park two cars in the garage that simply isn't possible, though not a big deal as there is a long driveway with ample room.

Very comfortable house. Everything you want right there. Shuttle bus picks you up and drop you off at the front door. i recommend this place highly.

This is a beautiful area to visit. Vacasa was most helpful to deal with in securing rental properties. Would do it again.

Wonderful home that was perfect size to fit two families. Two master bedrooms downstairs and two bunk rooms upstairs accommodated a family of ten very easily. The Northstar shuttle came in 5 mins flat after we rang them. Affordable, convenient, cozy. I highly recommend this home.

The house is very well located (easy shuttle ride to Northstar) and was totally clean. We had slight issues in that the hot tub had some issues and one of the TV's was buggy, but the rental company was very response in addressing these concerns.

The location to North Star Village if you are going for a ski/ride weekend is great. The shuttle is super convenient and the house has all the amenities for a great stay. The kitchen supplies are great for cooking needs. The hot tub is in great shape. Furnishings are simple and a bit dated, but all was very clean - and that really is the most important for a family weekend! Would definitely stay at this home in the future.

We loved this house for our Christmas get-together. It was so warm and welcoming. With 8 adults, 2 teens and a 2-yr old, we appreciated the variety of sleep arragements and having 3 bathrooms to choose from. The shuttle service to the Village was a plus - so convenient. We'd definitely book this place again if the occasion arises.

We loved this house for our five-night Christmas get-together. 8 adults, 2 teens and a 2-yr old. The house was very warm and welcoming. Beds were comfy and having three full baths was a great convenience. The online photos were spot-on. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance, serving piece and everyday plates, utensils and glassware you could ever want. A fresh snowfall on Dec. 23rd made for a beautiful setting. The Northstar shuttle service is neat! But like Uber, be ready to go when you call for them 'cause they are prompt and seem to always be nearby. If the occasion arises again, we'd definitely return to this place.

It snowed while we were there and it was beautiful and the cabin was nice too.. they even had snow plow clearing out everyone's driveways around 10 am or so...

Great place, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for us. Free shuttle to Northstar skiing and village. Kitchen is well stocked. Nice, new dishwasher. Hot tub was great after a day of skiing.
