About this house rental
Come try something new and adventurous. Stay at our yurt and enjoy the best of both worlds. You can feel a closeness to nature while not skimping on amenities as our yurt is outfitted with everything you need to have wonderful retreat in a secluded woodland mountain setting. Though you will feel like you are in a remote location, you will only be 5 minutes from groceries and restaurants, 10 -15 minutes from Biltmore and eclectic downtown Asheville, and within any hour from most of what Western North Carolina has to offer. If you want to take a hike, the Mountains to Sea Trail is only 150 yards from your doorstep. If you head south, it is a 45 minute hike to the Folk Art Center. If you head north it is only a fifteen minute hike to an awesome overlook. When you get back you can lounge on our spacious deck and take in the mountain scenery before you start grilling dinner. You might then want to make the 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville to hear some good music at one of Asheville’s many venues. Another option would to be to head 20 minutes east to quaint Black Mountain for a walk around. Needless to say this is a romantic spot for a couple to reconnect or bring your kids or another couple as there is plenty of room for them. If you have never been in a yurt, you are in for a comforting experience that living “in the round” creates. So don’t hesitate and come stay with us for a few days or a week and return home feeling relaxed and renewed.

Overall it was incredible, the bed to me was not comfortable and the outside lighting was almost nonexistent but other then that it was a great stay and we even saw a bear!

Quaint, cozy & well equipped. We had a great combination of old world simplicity, mixed with the convenience of modern technology. It was a great experience & I'd definitely stay their again!

Our experience at Serenity yurt was incredible. The property was peaceful and private. Very little traffic, birds chirping in the trees, and rain pattering against the dome made for a restful environment. Everything was clean and appeared as pictured in the listing. The hot tub was a nice added amenity! Only suggestion is that the tree branches should be trimmed back a little bit so you can have a better view of the stars from the hot tub Also of note, we went looking for the Mountains to Sea trail and had trouble locating it… later flipping through the binder in the yurt, the owner has mapped out the trail perfectly in relation to the property. My fault for not looking all the way through the binder! But on our jaunt around the property we saw a mama bear and a cub crossing the dirt road! Speaking of the road, it can be rough in places. The owner says 4WD isn’t necessary and while we didn’t have to put out 4Runner in 4WD, if we had driven a sedan I’m not sure how well we could have travelled the road, especially in the rain! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back in th future!
