About this chalet rental
J's Chalet (formely the 'Waltz Inn') is a charming chalet style home that is located 1 mile from Sulphur Creek Marina at Dale Hollow State Park. The chalet is situated on a side street that has little to no traffic, which makes it a relaxful getaway. It is completely ready for you to bring your family and enjoy some quality time together on or around beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. This home has become a wonderful place for our family to spend time!
This beautifully decorated cabin is a perfect place for you and your family to get away from it all. Spend the day enjoying all that Dale Hollow Lake offers - boating, fishing, swimming or diving in the pristine waters. This vacation home is also 10 minutes from Dale Hollow State Resort Park where you can spend the day golfing at its renowned 18 hole course and driving range, hiking, or sight seeing around the countryside. It is also only a short drive from the cabin to the Cumberland River where you can spend the day trout fishing one of the state's best rivers or canoeing.
The main level of the cabin features a living room with TV, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area which connects to a large wrap around deck complete with charcoal grill and chairs for relaxing. The main floor has two bedrooms. One has a king and the other a queen. Lastly, there is a full bathroom on this floor that includes a laundry area.
On the second level of the home are two full size beds in the bedroom. The loft area contains two additional single beds. There is a full bathroom on the second floor.
The basement can also be rented out. It contains another regular bedroom (king), small bedroom (queen), full bathroom, kitchen, and living area. The living area a sofa sleeper and TV.
The home has central heat & air, towels and linens are provided. This home can sleep up to 16 people.
During the peak summer season, 4 night minimums are usually required. The week before and after the 4th of July may require a week long rental. Owner can make exceptions as needed.

We loved this spot. The home was clean. To me that is the most important. It did look like the owners were still working on the home as some cabinet doors were not finished and a few other things. The owner was quick to get back to me and even let us check in early. The place is so close to Sulpur Creek marina so that was very convenient. Great place and I would stay here again.

House was roomy, plenty of places for all to sleep. Double laundry rooms fridges were a plus. Large outdoor deck and back patio great for evenings outside. Great location, close to the dock for boaters. Would stay again for sure.

Honest review. We stayed with 6 adults and 6 children. No pets. In NOV 2025Positives: The Host Jason was great. He was accommodating and responsive to all messages. The location and size of the rental is wonderful. The price was affordable. Negatives:1.When we checked in there was LOTS of lady bugs and leaves in the house. We realized this was most likely due to the gaps in the doors where you can see daylight. I would recommend they check the house the day before a new renter comes. 2. Freezer had spilled food in the bottom and ovens were very dirty. I informed the host right away. 3. There were multiple doors still missing on the cabinets from an incomplete renovation. It just looked bad. 4. The beds were VERY uncomfortable in all rooms except the loft. The 2 twins seemed to be a softer memory foam. But those were not used. The beds are a mix of very hard memory foam or soft spring mattresses. So if that’s what you like then you will be fine. But all 6 adults said their beds were not comfortable. 5. Couches were VERY worn on the arm rests. The arm rests had NO padding left and you can feel the wood frame. We had to put pillows over them to even use it. The rocker chair was ok.6. The basement apartment had no thermostat or individual heat unit so it was very cold. The top floor had its own unit so that was good. Again, an honest review. Overall an older rental. If I would have know how uncomfortable the beds and furniture were I would not have stayed.
