Unfortunately, our experience at the Dakota fell short of what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. We had to wait 25 minutes for a drink, despite the bar being quiet, so it was difficult to understand the delay. We tried ordering directly at the bar but were told it was table service only, yet we were still left waiting.
Breakfast was okay, but there was a backlog with food, so we were asked to wait in the bar area. We were left to help ourselves to tea and coffee using paper cups, which certainly wasn’t what we expected from a hotel of this standard.
To make matters worse, we were charged twice, adding to our disappointment. Overall, the service and experience fell short of the standards we associate with a 5-star hotel. Sadly, not the experience we had hoped for at the Dakota
