About this house rental
New in 2026: Large 2nd-story outdoor deck off main floor, fiber high-speed, internet, steps to dock, kitchen refrigerator w/ large capacity ice maker, and microwave.
Located on a spacious, partially wooded lot, this vacation home offers what many other Norris Lake rentals do not--privacy, ample parking, and gentle slope to water/dock. The home has 300ft+ waterfrontage and is tucked into a deep-water cove with minimal boat traffic and wake. No cramped docks in this cove! Our closest neighboring structures are several hundred feet away on both sides, making this cove perfect for family play and swimming.
Home layout details:
The home has 5 private sleep areas, which offers several options to sleep 12 comfortably. The main floor boasts a fully equipped kitchen, living room with TV and Blu-ray, dining room, half bath, and master ensuite. The upper level has three sleep spaces and one full bathroom. The lower level has one sleep space and one full bathroom, with a washer and 2 dryers, TV room w/ DVD player, and an open game area w/ a ping pong table, foosball table, and card/dining table. The main level and lower level have access to the lake. On your way down to the dock, you will be able to enjoy a firepit with benches. There is a large lot with plenty of private parking across from the house (boat trailers, trucks. etc.)
House Location: Less than a mile to a concrete-paved neighborhood boat ramp. The home is located in the Norris Pointe development and is closest to Powell Valley Marina, a recently renovated full-service marina, but Springs Dock and Flat Hollow are also close by. Deerfield and Shanghai are roughly a 20–25-minute pontoon boat ride. Prefer weekly rentals on Friday/Friday or Sunday/Sunday for cleaning availability but will consider shorter stays (5 nights during peak) based on calendar availability and our personal use.

This place was very nice for a large extended family of 13 people. There were plenty of rooms and plenty of beds. The kitchen had plenty of things to use, the hot tub was nice, and there was a kayak at the dock for us to use. The location on the lake was quiet and nice for swimming and fishing, and not far from several of the marinas for boat renting. The host provided plenty of information about the surrounding area, and check in was very easy.Few things to note that were so-so, but didn't really hinder the experience. Some of the stairs down to the dock were a little janky, so be careful. Cleanliness of the lower level was a little questionable, but we also understand this is a lake house so it's not a big deal. There was a broken chair in the living room just sitting there waiting for someone to sit on it and break further; it definitely shouldn't be there anymore. The appliances in the kitchen worked not so well all the time: stove was colder than displaying (so turn it up higher) and the toaster only heated on one side. And there are plenty of bathrooms but be aware several of them are attached to bedrooms themselves and not in a common area so your family will need to be cognizant of this.Overall, the place was great, and these little gotchas didn't hamper our overall enjoyment. We had a great time, and would recommend this to any large families looking for a wonderful place to stay together.

Cute home with a nice layout. Has everything you need for a vacation stay at Norris with plenty of parking for cars and trailers. Proximity to grocery and marinas is great. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. The dock and lower stairs (missing handrail and narrow treads) to the water could really use a rebuild/refresh but there was plenty of space for the 3 watercraft we brought.

The outside is nice but looks small. Open up to beautiful open floor plan . It is perfect for families. The sleeping areas provide so much space. The home is updated and very clean. Annie, the owner , responsive and very helpful. The cove is perfect.
