About this house rental
A unique, almost 100 year old Laguna writer's home, still owned by original family. The house is three bedrooms, two baths, set on a half acre of wooded hillside, six blocks from the beach, one mile south of downtown Laguna Beach, near BlueBird Canyon.
One of Laguna's early homes, built simply with pine walls and floors, the house has a good-sized living and dining room with a wonderful fireplace.
Soaring eucalyptus trees planted around the perimeter of the property in the 1920s host a variety birds and migrating monarch butterflies. The natural, spacious landscape encourages the play of children.
The beach is a short walk from the house and offers a fascinating
change of scene as tides work their way in and out.
Perfect as an artist or family retreat.

Our family loved our stay at this magical treehouse. We were able to walk to the beach, shops, cafes, etc. Great location!

Great place to slow things down. Walking distance to it all... even grocery store Ralph's. We enjoyed the vibe of relax and don't take ithings too seriously. We will return.

This cottage was perfect, a true respite from the noise of the world chaos Surrounded by huge ancient trees one might think you were in the mountains. Birds singing and a view from every window. Friendly Cats to greet you outside the kitchen door each morning. A really well stocked VRBO. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and even two cork screws! Oh , and a normal size refrigerator too. Plenty of towels & and linens. I felt as if I was stepping into someone’s home.It is a joy filled place, with a good spirit ..Inside the front door is a beautiful piece of hand embroidery that welcomes the GUEST. Be sure to read the old beige guest book, including the history of the cabin..written by Hugh Wire, the son of Harold Wire the original builder of the cabin. So very thankful to the Wire Family for opening their home to travelers.Eileen

It is a pretty place. There was no coffee, shampoo or fans, (which were needed the fbut that might be normal in CA.
