A stylish post and beam house built by hand, from sustainable timbers; not merely a wonderful place sitting high on the hill with panoramic valley views, but an experience, a real taste of life in a tropical national park that many of our overseas friends tell us they’ve always been searching for, but never previously found. “A little piece of rainforest heaven, with simply stunning views, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Daintree National Park, a true treasure.”
The Folly originally attracted us because of its absolutely amazing views right out across the breathtaking rainforest valley.
Our superb deck provide charming vantage points overlooking our extensive tropical gardens where you can enjoy the outstanding Views.
We offer you a place to relax and take a break, away from the crowds.
The Folly consists of a one bedroom post and beam house with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom.
The Folly sleeps up to 3 Guests. The bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also a queen-size sofa bed in the spacious living area.
The Folly offers the space and privacy for a couple and a single child or friend. The rear Alfresco deck has with outstanding Valley views and comfortable seating. Imagine yourself relaxed during the day or looking out at the stars at night.
The Folly has a fully equipped kitchen with a Gas Cook top & Oven. The full size fridge/freezer is large enough for the whole family.
The Indoor dining table seats 4.
The Alfresco Deck also has a dining table conveniently located adjacent to the BBQ.
The comfortable Living room has a Stereo and flat screen TV.
Sitting high on a hill, there is nearly always a breeze at The Folly.
Perfectly positioned Shutters, french doors and turbo ceiling fans in all areas make The Folly your very comfortable tropical holiday home.

What a great way to experience the wonders of the Daintree. A supremely private cottage with a view overlooking your own tropical valley. Off grid with most of the comforts of home and those that are missing, you really don't need. Located within easy reach of all the tourist spots it's a rainforest delight.

The Folly exceeded our expectations. The view, property and host all were amazing. So peaceful, wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a great stay at The Folly. Beautiful gardens, private and secluded, and a great location for visiting Cape Tribulation boardwalks. The house was clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive as well!

The place was beautiful and the views from the deck were spectacular. Saw many types of birds and butterflies from the deck. It was a great location for all our day trips to snorkel and explore. Highly recommend this place.
