Monkey Island Lake Retreat is located in Port Duncan on Monkey Island on Grand Lake. The home has a view of the cove in both summer and winter. Port Duncan is connected to Shangri La Resort via golf cart path. Shangri La Resort is a premier lake and golf resort in Oklahoma. It is home to Eddies Lakeside Grill and Doc s restaurant. In Port Duncan guests have use of the boat ramp and tennis courts at no charge. Several local marinas offer boat rentals and overnight boat slips at a nominal fee.

We mainly stayed here for the sleeping space however it was very nice and accommodations were perfect for what we needed. I could easily have taken advantage of the other features and ammenities of the home.

House was very nice with nice amenities. Plenty of parking. Located in a nice neighborhood. While not right on the lake very close where you can see it. There is a marina with rentals and slips in the neighborhood as well as a small boat ramp. Ramp is not at Marina but within walking district. There are a couple restaurants in the area and a small market. I’d plan on cooking at the house if staying more than a couple nights as there are not a lot of options for eating out.

Loved the house and location. We had plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed the Pac-Man machine and the bunk Bed was a big hit with our granddaughter. Lol We saw deer around the area and even a fox. The kitchen was fully stocked with lots of counter space and loved the open concept. All in all this place was great! We will return again next year.
