The Historic Powhatan Resort offers guests a little piece of colonial history with the restored Manor House (circa 1735). Nestled among 256 acres of beautiful woodland, this resort is loaded with fun things to see and do, and learn a little bit of American history.
- All Guest Suites are Non-Smoking
- Please note that every attempt will be made to accommodate requests for suite location and early arrivals; however, these requests are based on availability and occupancy. Unfortunately, the resort is unable to guarantee room location.
- Minimum age requirement for check-in is 21 years of age.
- Pets are not permitted and strictly enforced with the exception of Service Animals.
**Pool Details:
Indoor Pool: Daily 8 am-10 pm , Outdoor Pools: Open for swimming and sunning from Mid April through late October 8 am -10 pm, weather permitting. In the case of thunder, both indoor and outdoor pools close for a half hour after the thunder passes.
ADDITIONAL COSTS:
$15 per day resort fee due at check in.
Resort Fee includes WiFi, business center, indoor pool, racquet ball, tennis and boarding pass printing. Plus access to all other onsite amenities.

Good location near the Busch Gardens. My family enjoyed the indoor pool of the resort. There is not a jet bath tub in the condo while there are jacuzzi areas in the indoor pool of the resort.

Check in process was long.
Discounts to Busch Gardens & water country USA offered in return for sitting through 2 hr timeshare presentation.
Told at check in that indoor pool wasn’t open due to staffing. (I would have selected one of the many other nearby resorts if I knew this ahead of time).
Unit was large, modern, very clean.
Couch had a tear, and a stain on a cushion. Footstool/ottoman had a broken wheel.
Rooms were large. Beds extremely comfortable.
Kitchen was fully equipped and our 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family of six. Great convenient location. Family really enjoyed the outdoor pool, mini golf, and staff interactions were excellent.
Timeshare presentation was entertaining but not for us (rates ridiculously high) and had to get to the point where I threatened to cause a scene if the timeshare sales team didn’t return our driver’s licenses after 2hrs 20 mins. They push very hard to sell you (but that is their job).
Overall a very good location and a good vacation.

The unit was clean, however, it does need some maintenance. There was a large bald spot in the carpet as you entered into the living space. The walls in the bathroom had been painted with satin paint but was touched up with flat paint and was very noticeable. While the furniture was functional it shows quite a bit of wear. We did not open the sofa to use as a bed, so we can not say whether it was comfortable. It has wonderful water pressure, however, the type of shower heads that are in use create such pattern that it stings the skin and creates an incredibly loud whistle. It feels as though you are being pressure washed. Also, we told the concierge that we were not interested in the gifts and presentation, but he was quite persistent in his attempt to get us to participate.
