Welcome to Turtle Watch — a fully renovated 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom luxury condo at The Islander Resort Villas in the west end of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. With 2,000 sq ft of open-concept living, ocean views, and a canal-front deck where sea turtles surface each evening, this is one of the most unique waterfront rentals on the island. Beach access is just a block away!
THE SPACE
The open living area and spacious deck look out over the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Start your morning with coffee as the waves carry across the street. End your evening on the lanai watching turtles in the canal below — a nightly ritual that gave this condo its name.
The fully equipped kitchen features modern finishes and a breakfast bar. The dining table seats six, or take your meal to the outdoor lanai table and dine with the sound of the ocean. Ultra-high-speed fiber internet is installed throughout, and you can stream on the 60" Sony smart TV using Netflix, Hulu, your cable provider's app, or any streaming service. Premium linens and towels are provided and included in the cleaning fee.
This second-floor unit has easy elevator access and is ideal for families or groups looking for a spacious, comfortable beach retreat.

Rating: 7/10Great location, quiet neighborhood, ample parking, and easy beach access. The elevator was a nice perk, deck furniture was comfortable, and WiFi held up well for a large group. Unfortunately, several issues held this property back from the “modern renovation” it advertises.Issues:•Wobbly chair – A dining chair had a severely loose leg and my wife nearly fell. After our stay I found the same issue flagged in a 2022 review. This has been a known safety problem for at least three years with no fix.•Clogged bathtub – The tub in our bedroom was completely clogged and unusable.•Shower curtain rod – Fell off the wall mid-stay with only a wet towel and a sport coat on it.•Laundry – Found a full load of soured towels in the dryer two days in — left damp from the pre-arrival housekeeping run. The dryer is severely underpowered (2 hours for a small load) and the washer runs so off-balance it shakes the unit.•Kitchen – Scratched non-stick pans need to be replaced. Cooking utensils, baking pans, and a proper broom are all lacking.We contacted the owner during our stay and received no response. The bones of this property are solid — with basic maintenance and better housekeeping oversight this could easily be a 4–5 star experience.
