'River Wind' is located in the coastal village of Edgecomb just across the bridge from Wiscasset. Situated on 5+ private and wooded acres with 400 feet on the tidal Sheepscot River. A deep water dock awaits the avid boater. 'River Wind' is ideally located to short trips to the Boothbay Region, Damariscotta, Camden and Pemaquid Lighthouse. This home is timber-construction and situated on a perch with panoramic views of the Sheepscot River and Westport Island. The Master Bedroom has a wood burning fireplace, Queen size bed and a Jacuzzi tub in the Master Bath. A Grand Fireplace Insert accents the open living room leading to a well equipped gourmet kitchen. River Wind is Pet Friendly.

The house is very comfortable, homey, and pretty well-stocked. (if you need a special Dutch oven or cooking utensil, I suggest you bring it.) We liked the bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of games, several TVs, and a great room downstairs for family movie viewing. There is a lovely breezeway between the house and the garage with comfortable seating. The deck is rustic, and the walk down to the dock is not for anyone with mobility issues.The river view is lovely, and we so enjoyed watching the sunsets and sitting at the dining table, observing the comings and goings of the boats on the river. Ralph, the owner, is very accessible and in touch with his guests. He will be there for you if you need anything!

The house was beautiful and had very comfortable sleeping arrangements. Our only negative was it could have been cleaner.

Stay was decent. The heat shut off in middle of night leaving it freezing in morn. There was no salt or sand at drip lines of house making it dangerous for those unsteady on feet. All in all decent stay
