About this country house rental
3 very spacious bedrooms (in two different buildings on the property, within 20 m) each with private bathroom and entrance, and a kitchen. Saltwater swimming pool (12 x 4 m). The accommodation has airconditioned rooms/kitchen and mosquito screens.
Completely detached on 1 ha of land with terraces, in the midst of the wine region Dão. Ideal for a group of families or friends.
Terraces & patios offering views of the forests & mountains. Lugar do Pego is adjacent to the ecopista, a 49 km long cycle-/walkingpath without any motorized traffic. Mountainbikes can be rented on notice in advance. The small river Dinha with waterfalls at 300 m.
Viseu is 21 km from Lugar do Pego, and can also be reached by bike cycling the ecopista. Coimbra is 69 km. Golfcourse with 27 holes at 15 min drive.
Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Towels and bed linen are available. Free private parking is available on site.
Lugar do Pégo is located in the midst of the wine region of the Dão, with vineyards and wineries ´around the corner´. With views of the Serra da Estrela and Serra da Açor, surrounded by trees and tranquility, and 20 kilometers away from Viseu, the property offers all the possibilities to be active but also to unwind. Shops and restaurants are within 5 km away. The Serra de Estrela is located an hour's drive away, as are several fantastic beaches.
Lugar do Pégo is also gastronomically interesting: a few kilometers away is a famous reputed authentic Portuguese restaurant (Très Pipos), a mere 15 kilometers away is the Quinta de Cabriz also famous for its wines, and is a mere 20 kilometers away the beautiful Quinta (Mesa) de Lemos.
The historic and attractive city of Viseu can be reached by bike and along the Ecopista there are several food and beverage outlets.
Each unit of the house has its own entrance and its own terrace (s). It is a non-smoking accommodation and no pets are allowed.
Given the height of the quinta and the height of the terraces which are not all fenced, the accommodation may not be suitable for young children.

The house offers magnificent views, has a beautiful garden and is surrounded by nature. The ecopista is very near and allows for nice walks, runs and biking. The house is equipped with all you need.

We had a great time at Lugar do Pego. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and manage to stay cool even when it is very warm outside. We enjoyed riding the ecopista on the rented bikes. Nice trips possible in the surrounding area The owner is very welcoming and helpful.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad hier. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras en de kamers is prachtig en je hoort niets anders dan vogels en heel zo nu en dan een auto of fietser die voorbij komt. Het huis en de tuin eromheen zijn stijlvol ingericht en er zijn leuke uitstapjes en fietstochtjes te maken in de omgeving. Doordat iedere slaapkamer een eigen buitendeur heeft is het geschikter voor bevriende stellen dan voor een gezin. Maar voor een gezin met wat oudere kinderen is het ook goed te doen. De 3e slaapkamer was in het huis ernaast. Er is wel een gemeenschappelijke keuken en een groot terras met comfortabele stoelen. Maar bij slecht weer mis je een gemeenschappelijke woonkamer. Dan zit je ouderwets rond de keukentafel. De gastvrouw was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en had goeie tips voor uitstapjes in de omgeving. De winkels zijn ongeveer 10 autominuten van het huis. Dichterbij zijn wel dorpjes en restaurantjes. Vanaf het terras lijkt het alsof je midden in de natuur zit met uitzicht op beboste heuvels, de serra d'estrela en een klein dorpje. Maar feitelijk zit je redelijk comfortabel dichtbij de bewoonde wereld, met veel kleinschalige landbouw: stukje wijngaard, stukje moestuin, stukje bos....
