About this house rental
Our Retreat is a private artists retreat now open to the public. It consists of three extraordinary hand-crafted wood, island cabin-style houses on an estate of four acres, situated majestically in the high Mountains of Westmoreland, Jamaica.
Our retreat is off-the-beaten track, amid lush vegetation, with our Jamaican hills overlooking the island's South Coast. Our sunset from this vantage point, 700 meters (2100 feet) above sea level, is an exclusive nightly spectacle of beauty. Cool evenings and warm but moderate daytime temperatures, individuals with heightened appreciations of natural wonders and phenomenon will be inspired to no end by all that is to be found and re-discovered in the rural tradition of Good Hope Kentucky.
Our Firefly cottage is one of three cottages here at the Bluefields mountain retreat. Build with real Jamaican hardwood lumber and varnished to give that warm welcoming feeling., Our cottage is furnished with the most comfort double pillow top Queen size bed so our guests can sleep in relaxation and comfort. Open up our bedroom doors to the ocean view balcony facing the Caribbean sea. Bay window seat for looking out in the natural garden. Enjoy bathing in our outside stone shower looking up at the stars.

This was not just a vacation... it was a life-changing experience that's difficult to fully describe. The location is absolutely breathtaking, offering a genuine opportunity to disconnect from the noise of the world. You're surrounded by stunning nature, many types of birds, and lush plants, but most importantly, by genuine love and caring people.Sean and Geneva warmly welcomed me onto their property with great love and support. Geneva is an exceptional host who took care of all my needs, ensured I was always well-fed, and had transportation ready whenever necessary. During my 30-day stay, I experienced the authentic culture of Jamaica in ways you can't find at typical resorts. THIS WAS THE REAL JAMAICA EXPERIENCE!Thank you, Geneva and Sean, for welcoming me into your home and becoming true friends. I look forward to returning.P.S. OMG, Geneva can cook! She's a true chef who has mastered her craft. Thank you, Geneva, for all those amazing meals and the cooking tips you shared. I can't wait to try them back home!

This is the most idyllic, amazing, beautiful paradise you will ever stay in. We cannot recommend this enough. Geneva and Shaun are the most wonderful hosts, we are definitely coming back !! We are devastated to be leaving. They are the loveliest people who took care of all our needs and took time to show us around their stunning property. She is also a great cook. What a lovely family. Firefly Cottage…What can I say?
This trip was personal and purposeful. I was treated like family and not a guest. I was served, I was granted patience and overstanding. The view, the facility, the love, and the food made the ride to the mountaintop even more meaningful. I have more but I will leave it here until my return. I NEEDED what this environment was willing to feed me spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Geneva, Sean, Chaddon, Lucas, Toby, Austin…I appreciLOVE you all. Soon come😘

Staying here was exactly what we needed. We got a pleasant surprise for our anniversary welcome that the entire family played a role in setting up.
Sean and Geneva were quite hospitable and gave us everything we needed.
Firefly was sooo relaxing. Its the kinda place that gets you in touch with just sounds and breath taking views of nature.
4x4 vehicle is most ideal for travel
Definitely a revisit in que.
