Escape the crowds and enjoy sunny skies, sugar-white sand beaches and security at the Gulf Shores Plantation Resort, a beautifully landscaped family destination directly on the Gulf of Mexico in the middle of a 21-mile peninsula.
Relax in our comfortable Non-Smoking 2 bedroom/2 bath condo that sleeps 6 with King bed in the master bedroom and twins in the second bedroom, plus a Queen Sleeper sofa in the living area. The large balcony has a spectacular view overlooking the beach, pools, hot tub, tennis courts, putting green, boardwalk and other resort amenities. Our fourth-floor condo has 43”, 32" and 26" flat screen HDTVs/DVDs in the living room and bedrooms.
Gulf Shores Plantation Resort has 24-hour security and unlimited free wireless Internet access. Our condo amenities include one new heated, salt water indoor pool and six outdoor pools with indoor and outdoor hot tubs, saunas, lighted tennis courts, basketball, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, exercise room, and a putting green with sports equipment available at the security gate. Have a BBQ with the family at the outdoor charcoal grills. Read a book from the honor library or use the coin operated laundry facility, both located on the ground floor of your building.
Kiva Dunes golf course, the number one rated course In Alabama, is adjacent to the resort and there are ten other nearby golf courses.
Gulf Shores was named one of USA Today's “Five Hidden, Affordable Beach Destinations”.
Gulf Shores Plantation Resort was listed as “Where to Stay” with an abundance of local recreational amenities including Alabama's historic Fort Morgan, Tanger Outlet Center, water park, zoo, miniature golf, go-carts, and the Dauphin Island ferry. HGTV's Battle On The Bleach 2021 series was filmed just a couple of miles east of our location.
The Royal Gulf Beach & Racquet Club Resort (Plantation Dunes building) requires the purchase of a $40 registration certificate prior to arrival for each vehicle parked overnight during your stay. This certificate is good for your entire stay. Details on how to purchase a certificate will be provided.

Not the usual type of room I would go for since it isn't directly looking at the beach/ocean but it wasn't a deal breaker ill definitely consider this room again for our next weekend getaway

We were so very happy with our stay at Plantation Dunes. It was clean, comfortable, and met all of our needs as a family of 6. The resort itself was very safe and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our beautiful view. My youngest attempted to sleep on the balcony. He was so happy! I would recommend this place to anyone. It is off the beaten trail so there’s a little drive to the action but well worth the sense of security and comfort. Thank you for everything! A

Owner was easy to contact. We did have issues checking in. The room was not clean- beds unmade, dirty towels in floor. Owner immediately contacted cleaning service to come clean. Was told we’d be contacted when ready. Finally messaged for an update around 10pm and was told room was ready. Not completely owners fault. We had user errors with the door lock. And we were offered an extra night for the inconvenience but could not with our schedule. Other than the cleaning issue and late check in- the room was as described with an amazing view. The beach here is always pretty quiet and not over crowded which I love. There was a small fire in one of the lower level rooms so we were late getting back into our room on the second night also so for a relaxing quick getaway, I’d say we weren’t exactly successful but things happen. But, again all the other reviews are amazing and I’d definitely say it would be worth it to try.
