Cozy cabin on the best fishing hole on a beautiful mountain lake. Cabin has three bedrooms and a loft, two bathrooms, a modern kitchen, and all the usual amenities (cable tv, wireless internet, outdoor grill, washer/ dryer, etc). The second story deck looks out over the lake and our private dock. Just minutes from historic Truckee in the beautiful Sierra Mountains. Our family of six had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakefront property! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the home. The breathtaking lake views were a highlight, and the private dock provided an ideal spot for both sunrise and sunset watching.We loved being able to access the water easily with our kayaks and paddle boards throughout the day. The lower deck was a fantastic addition, offering shade in the afternoons and turning into a perfect napping spot!The property came equipped with everything we needed for a fun-filled lake experience, including plenty of fishing gear, floaties, paddles, a double kayak, and a canoe. We truly had everything we could ask for and can't wait to return for another unforgettable getaway! Highly recommend this place for families looking to enjoy the great outdoors!

Kids loved sleeping in the loft area, kitchen well stocked, amazing deck(s) and dock along with everything you need to enjoy your time on the lake (paddleboards, kayaks, canoe, life jackets, etc.). It was a wonderful experience. We all had a great time and liked the cabin. There was ample space for six adults; we didn't need or use the loft which would be great for children.

We were in Truckee for the state tennis tournament and could not have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend. There was enough beds for the entire family and everything was clean and tidy. The boys loved attempting to fish. Although we weren’t very lucky in that department. We would love to come back to this same cabin again.

We have stayed here a few times now, we love the peace and solitude. Sitting on the deck looking at the lake with my coffee is my favorite while my husband takes his coffee to the private pier to fish. The house is always perfect and has everything to meet our needs.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this cabin. For starters the listed amenities says "hot tub" and "spa whirlpool" THERE IS NO HOT TUB. The cabin is extremely dirty, pendant lights in the kitchen are covered with dirt and cob webs. TONS of expired food left in the refrigerator and in the cupboards. Cobwebs on all other light fixtures. Dirt and crumbs in the kitchen drawers. Couch was extremely uncomfortable (especially for the price of this cabin). The gas fireplace downstairs was inoperable, and when I called property manager I was told they left a small space heater, and that "there are extra blankets" The space heater was no bigger than a two slice toaster, and DID NOT heat the room...This is in the HIGH SIERRAS in LATE NOVEMBER...it was 12 degrees at night! There was no vent on the stovetop so everything you cook lingers in the cabin (unless you open the windows with it 20 degrees outside). Absolutely filthy BBQ! We used it the first night, and good thing we were keeping an eye on it. We ran outside and opened the lid and there was a full on FIRE in the drip pan under the grill and burners. Had to remove food, let the massive fire burn out then continue. There was zero furniture on the upper deck (in photos there are table and chairs) The stairs leading to the lower level are extremely old and questionable. Renters prior had a dog, and there were a dozen piles of dog feces at the bottom of the stairs. WAY OVERPRICED for what it is.

We loved everything about this house was just perfect for our short vacation we would comeback for other vacations. One negative thing is the cleaning person was there even before our check out time was getting in our way and telling us what to do and not to do and i dont think thats right the earliest she should have arrived is 11 so she doesn't interrupt the vacationers.

We have stayed here several times. The fishing is amazing. We love staying here as check in is simple, the place is always well stocked and clean and the view of the lake is the best. The driveway is steep. We drive down for loading and unloading then park up in front of the garage. Especially if a storm is coming in. It’s the best way to avoid chaining up!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The first time was 5 years ago, and the property is still just as nice. You can't beat the location being right on the lake with private dock and beautiful view. The woodwork inside the cabin is beautiful, and the cabin is very spacious and clean.

We all had a great time especially since the lake was right there. Caught fish off the dock, rented a boat, canoed, paddle boarding and swimming. We will be back and appreciate this family for sharing their beautiful home with us. My 3 yr old grandson said, “ I love our home.”

What a wonderful property, Donner Lake right out the door, private dock, what a find. Sue the owner was very helpful and the place was clean and had everything you need for the weekend. Pictures don't really do the place justice. We had 4 adults and 3 teens but you could fit many more people. We hope to return soon, highly recommended!!
