An Idyllic home with sweeping views of glittering Camden Harbor and perfectly located in Camden village just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Harbor Watch is a renovated, historic, Victorian cottage that offers commanding views of the Camden Harbor and Mount Battie from the expansive wrap-around-porch and modern amenities such as AC and ceiling fans in 3 of of the 4 bedrooms. Harbor Watch is located on a rare in-town, oversized lot with a large lawn that provides privacy for the home. This is one of the closest homes to Camden village and the inner harbor and a very unique rental opportunity.
The seaside town of Camden is known as a uniquely beautiful place where the "mountains meet the sea" and the inspiration for Edna St. Vincent Millay's world renowned poem "Renascence." It will inspire and rejuvenate you. Discover its charms and relaxed sophistication. Enjoy the universe that is Camden. Camden has it all: breathtaking lakes, mountains, a waterfall, a quaint seaside village, world-class yachtsman's harbor, Curtis Island and the incomparable sailing ground that is Penobscot bay. Experience festivals, fine dining, theater, outdoor activities (hiking, sailing, golfing, ocean kayaking to lighthouses and even downhill skiing or cross-country skiing or the National toboggan festival in the winter). We rented this house for our family of 5 for a first time trip to Maine and it did not disappoint. The location could not have been better. It was clean and well appointed. We were literally right up the street from boutique shops and ice cream and excellent bookstore/cafe. About 3 blocks in the other direction was easy access to the beach which we enjoyed multiple times. It’s a rocky beach but small enough pebbles that we could easily relax and enjoy an afternoon. We rented kayaks and swam. The best part of it all was the view. Long, relaxing mornings and cookouts on the deck made the trip so special. It’s a raised deck with direct view of the harbor. There’s a large lawn below for the kids to run around and a fire pit. We drove all over Maine and everytime we got back to the house, we felt like we were home. There were a couple items they did not have that we messaged them about and they took care of us immediately. The only tricky part is that the stairs are very steep and there is not a bathroom in the main floor so keep that in mind. We will definitely be returning.

All was as promised at the beautifully restored farmhouse on a quiet, manicured street. On the 5-minute walk into Camden, a charming coastal town, there are galleries, restaurants, an ice cream shop, a bakery and an old-fashioned candy store that delighted all 4 adults in our party. The back deck offered a stone's-throw view of the quintessential Maine harbor. Even the view from the front of the house was lovely: a landscaped facade of the chic (and pricey) Natalie's Restaurant.The clean, white house has nice big windows that let light stream in from all sides. At night, the huge tree in front of Natalie's is lit from top to bottom, a pretty sight that the front bedroom shades sufficiently shut out for the night. The washer and dryer were easy to use and so convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed. The gas fireplace helped to warm a couple of cool, end-of-summer nights. Kate was an efficient and responsive host. Our stay exceeded expectations. We would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it!
