About this apartment rental

Very small (under 400 sq ft) & cozy 1 bedroom located in the heart of San Diego's most famous beach community. Just steps to Mission Bay, the beach, the Boardwalk and Belmont Park, Only 1.5 blocks to the beach, and only two doors from the Bay! Only has 1 queen bed and a very small sofa for a small child.

Please note, this is literally the center of Mission Beach, less than a block from Belmont Park, which is great, but expect a lot of people, noise and traffic congestion especially during spring & summer.

This home is a tastefully designed one-bedroom with a full kitchen that can sleep three. Our beach apt features a queen-sized bed and couch. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, and amenities include free Wi-Fi, and Apple TV. Unfortunately there is NO PARKING.

Photos were taken in 2015. Please expect normal wear and tear over that time period. Furniture and furnishings may be different than pictured as items are replaced and updated.

The house was just what we needed for two of us on a honeymoon! It was in walking distance to everything we needed (shops, stores, restaurants, laundromat) which was perfect, as we did not have a car. There’s a ton of beach stuff that came in handy! We stayed about two weeks so we did some cooking at the house. We were able to easily get groceries delivered and the house was equipped with the few essential cooking items we needed! The host was very attentive! We had a few unexpected last minute changes and the hosts worked so well with us!

Good location and clean. We did not end up staying and got a hotel and ended up eating the cost because of no AC and the windows didn't open. We didn't want to leave the patio door open because it on high pedestrian traffic street. The unit would benefit from AC particularly during the summer months.

Host/Property Manager both very nice and accommodating. We were a little thrown off with no AC. It was ok but we would have liked to have air. The location was great. Easy to walk to the beach and lots going on in the area.

The Mango Tango is a diamond in the rough. Centrally located in the heart of Mission Beach one would think noise and traffic. Quite the opposite. The property was clean, quiet and has all things necessary for a short or long term stay for one person, a couple, or a small family!

The VRBO property at Mission Beach was a BIG disappointment! It was cold when we arrived and the power went out early the next morning when trying to usebthe drip coffee-maker. I attempted to contact the owner without success so we left!

Met basic expectations! Did not have any interior mats or a bath matt! Towels were really musty and stinky! I would use white so they can be bleached! Couch was very small and uncomfortable for my son to sleep on!

Great location for the money. Literally one block to the sands and ocean. One short block to Belmont Park with tons of rides. Less than a block to the shops and restaurants and a Starbucks Nextdoor! Lol. Mission Bay was right across the street and has a little park. The condo itself was small but very cute with a cute patio, very clean. Only downside is no parking which the information said, and no ocean views, but for the money that was fine because it was so close to everything. The neighbors were kind and allowed me to park in an open space in front of the condo, so helpful. The boardwalk is right there with bike, board and skate rentals. I chose to rent a bike. My advice is to ride over by the bay there is a beautiful path there that goes like 12 miles at least around that area with beaches too. There were a lot of people on the boardwalk and hard to ride. We really enjoyed our stay there and enjoyed being so close to the beach. The property manager was very kind and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

The property was super cute and functional for the size, perfect place to walk to Belmont park and the surrounding area with your loved one. Parking does suck but doable with a little patience. It's definitely a bustling corner but once it was Netflix & chill time, you couldn't hear the nightlife. We would absolutely stay again!

This place was a perfect location for us to walk anywhere we needed, bike rentals next door that we took all the way up to La Jolla. So many bars/restaurants and cool places to go. San Diego zoo not a far cab ride either. We loved it!! Definitely coming back.

We didn’t end up staying. After checking in, there was an interesting smell that we didn’t like. The TV remote didn’t really work and there were only a couple of channels. All of that coupled with the horrible parking situation and the questionable neighborhood made it so we didn’t want to stay, so we left after a couple of hours after check-in.

Stayed here one week. Clean, very nice accommodations. I could hear the neighbors upstairs walking around and opening doors while I was trying to sleep but I turned on white noise and it tuned them out well. I would recommend staying here.

I came to Drew's place by myself and stayed for 4 days. Overall the place is great! Amazing location. Everything you would need is right there. The place was clean and comfortable. The only negative i would say is the walls are thin and you can hear the people upstairs walking around but I sleep like a rock and it didnt bother me.

I rented this property for my daughter's honeymoon. Drew was fantastic to work with and was prompt with returning any correspondence. The property is in a great location. My 4 year old grandson and I had a lil vacation for a week here, and we both loved it. So close to all things fun! The place was clean, and modern. We parked our bikes on the patio, and parked our van in the nearby 24 hour lot. The area is loud and crowded in summer with all the fun, but knew that going in, and we both still slept well. We made great memories here, my grandson did not want to leave lol.

This property is a great location if you plan to be out and about in Mission Beach. The location was great because it was across the street from the park, bay, Belmont, food, and the beach. This home is only a three minute walk to the beach. There was no designated parking spot so it’s great if you plan to walk or Uber. This home is small, and the couch was so small it was not able to accommodate our third person (child) as advertised so we brought a blowup mattress. Additionally, the owner emphasizes quiet hours, which is great however, the people in the upstairs unit had parties both of the nights that we were there (Wed and Thurs), so we did not get much sleep with the stomping and loud music all night. Lastly, when I reached out through the messaging feature of Vrbo to the property owners for support and basic communication they responded only once. For example, I reached out to clarify the address on check-in day and didn’t get a reply until the next day. Overall, great to be close to action but the lack of designated parking was a stress, the neighbors were so loud that we could not sleep, and the owners were not responsive to communication. I will go back to Mission Beach but not to this property.

This property is great if you don’t want to rent a car. It’s within walking distance of everything. It’s definitely small, but exactly as described. I also loved that they provided towels and beach toys. I would absolutely come back.
