The location was perfect & the A Frame wascharming. There was no hand soap at any sinks, there was only 1 partial paper towel roll and only 2 rolls / bathroom for 7 adults and little one. Kitchen could be beter stocked for those who like to cook while on vacation.

Overall good. Clean but tired. Mattresses need an upgrade in all bedrooms-especially the master. It was just two old twins pushed together. The toilet ran continuously unless the water source was turned off. Fairly clean, good communication with host. Overall, nice.

The High Point has a lot of potential. The location is fantastic — just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local spots on Dauphin Island. You really can’t beat the convenience if you’re looking to relax and explore the area.
That said, our experience at the house left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we found two large live roaches inside, which was not the welcome we were hoping for. The furniture was noticeably stained, which made the space feel less clean and cared for. The mattress was also very uncomfortable, which made it hard to get quality rest during our stay.
One of the biggest concerns was the broken front door knob. We reported it right away and were told someone would come fix it, but no one ever showed up. That was disappointing and left us feeling a bit uneasy about security.
This property could be amazing with a few updates and more attention to cleanliness and guest communication. We’ve had great stays with Vacasa before, so we’re hopeful that these issues will be addressed for future guests.
