This modern light filled 2 bedroom with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres.
Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck with the garden beyond and the stars above.
Enjoy the outdoor shower (hot water!), under the sun or stars (yes, there is also a shower in the bathroom).
Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos, maybe an echidna and a family of hares through the floor to ceiling picture window.

A short drive to Morgans Beach, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches.
Experience the scenic walk (or the 4wd drive) to the surf and popular fishing spot at Blowhole Beach.
Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga and Parsons Beaches along Range Rd towards Victor Harbor.
Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree (Xanthorrhoea sp.) growing next to the carpark! Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Thai or Korean takeaway 5mins drive down the hill.
We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.
Dogs welcome (but not on the furniture, please) at an additional charge.
Being off-grid, the reverse cycle heating can only be operated for limited hours or not at all in winter, depending on the forecast. The woodfire is the main heat source.

Our stay at Deep Creek Retreat was incredible. The house is an absolute treasure - a mesmerising view, beautiful garden perfect to sit and spend time in reading or having a cup of tea, and the house was beautifully and generously appointed.The beds were very comfortable with lovely linen, and the kitchen was a joy to cook in.Sandra is a fantastic host, kind and highly responsive. The house was gleaning when we arrived on New Year’s Eve. We loved every minute and are already planning our next stay!

Deep Creek Retreat is truly magical. Set on 2.5 acres, the gardens are beautifully designed, featuring a charming walled garden and an incredible mix of native and exotic trees. The property offers breathtaking views across to Kangaroo Island and feels wonderfully secluded, yet it’s the perfect base for exploring this part of South Australia.The home itself is a delight. Fully off-grid but equipped with every modern comfort, it’s clear the owners have thoughtfully included everything needed for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be returning soon for another peaceful getaway.

Absolutely perfect!Amazing hosts with exceptional communication from the get-go. Sandra and Ian go above and beyond and it truly set the tone for a wonderful stay.The property itself is extraordinary. A rare place that instantly relaxes you with its serene, beautifully kept grounds and stunning views. Every corner of the house and gardens reflects genuine care. The house is incredibly well equipped with everything you could need, and the wood fire is a standout.This is a truly special place - peaceful, welcoming and unforgettable, with hosts who genuinely care. We’re already looking forward to returning. Couldn’t recommend it more!
