Upon entering the unit you will be greeted by a large plush sofa and tasteful island-themed décor. The master bedroom is adorned with vaulted ceilings with wooden beams and features a lavish king-sized bed, perfectly situated for a relaxing evening after a hard day of island exploration. Great for families or a group of friends, the condo is furnished with accommodations for up to six guests, including an upgraded kitchen with granite countertops, oak cabinets, and enough cookware to prepare your culinary delicacies. Quiet and peaceful, yet still very close to countless restaurants, shopping, and some of Kauai's best beaches, this condo is a great alternative for anyone who would like to feel at home in paradise!

Our stay at this condo was wonderful. The location was close to the best beaches and restaurants and we enjoyed immensely the view of the mountains. The condo was spacious and well stocked. We would love to come back again for 2 months when available.

Loved the location and beach path which meant many days a car was not needed (though was also helpful to have the easy parking).
Great view from the lanai of the mountains.
Generally very well equipped. The kitchen had every tool/dish/pot we might want and had some spices to start with, which was good as we cooked several meals. Loved the fact that bath and kitchen soaps, toiletries, paper towels etc. were also well stocked. Many basic sand toys for our daughter. They also provided a small crib.
Some minor things outdated and in need of refurbishment but didn't diminish our stay.
The weather was very tricky alternating from very windy to still and hot. Because heat and cooling in the condo is based purely on breezes and ventilation this made keeping the right temperature difficult a couple days, especially in the upstairs where there really is no cross breeze and it was very hot. Note we couldn't use one of the two windows which had some damage which made it worse.
Pools on the property are hit or miss, the one in Makanui unspectacular and we didn't use. We did love the access to the fitness center across the street which had an awesome pool with a mini beach for kids we used on a couple of the colder, windier days.
Suite Paradise very responsive ahead of time which was appreciated, though a couple minor things there were inconsistencies between people we talked to. Check in very easy.
Overall we would definitely go back to Poipu Kai.

Outdated accommodations for champagne prices. No A/C which is expected. Window blinds in poor condition which knock constantly with open windows. No problem unless you want to sleep. Cable box upgraded but nonfunctional. Location is great. Lots of other choices in this area
