About this house rental
Bannon's Mountain is 100 acres of incredible privacy located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains between the cities of Saratoga Springs and Corinth, NY. Just 15 minutes south of Bannon’s Mountain you can find the famous Saratoga Race Track, the National Museum of Racing, The Saratoga Center for the Performing Arts, and numerous golf courses. To the north, only 20 minutes away is the famed Lake George, a beautiful 36-mile crystal clear lake in the Adirondack Mountains.
On our 100 wooded acres, you have your own tennis court (with pickleball lines) and in-ground pool. You also have your very own one-acre lake just a short hike from the house.
When you leave Bannon's Mountain, you are only a short ride to the world-famous Saratoga Race Track and numerous first-class golf courses. In addition, there are dozens of other activities only minutes away from Bannon’s Mountain: horseback riding at the many stables, rafting and tubing adventures on the Hudson River and Great Sacandaga, flying from tree to tree on zip-lines at Adirondack Extreme, a visit to the Factory Outlet Malls in Glens Falls, fine dining in downtown Saratoga, entertainment at the Lake George Dinner Theater, majestic balloon flights and parasailing on Lake George, and visits to the historic Fort William Henry Museum. And within only a couple of hours are the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and the U.S. Olympic Facilities in Lake Placid.

It was excellent Great family spot. Lots for all to do Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding , lots of wood for campfires owner attentive to your every need.Our only disappointment was regarding the lake. The VRBO listing notes that there is a private lake for beaching and boating, “just a short hike from the cabin”. By our family’s standards, it is not a short hike, nor is it an easy hike. It is up and down hills and probably 2 miles round trip. And, it was not really swimmable due to a heavy cover of algae. With that one exception, the property was outstanding!

The property has everything! It felt like being on a resort (a la Dirty Dancing) but it was all us. The main house has the feel and look of a lodge. We could play tennis on a gorgeous court and be right beside our kids splashing in the pristine pool (with cabana! complete with fridge!). Then we'd hike down to the lake and swim to the floating dock, while some kayaked or rowed the boat. At night, there were two choices of places to hold the camp fire that are big and fun to hang around. One night we all lay down on the tennis court to see stars and milky way. The house stays cool all day long and being cool at night was a relief. The layout fit 7 kids and 5 adults comfortably for meals and hanging out (ping pong table tournaments were popular).We stayed for a week and we enjoyed every element of Bannon's family offers.
