Sutter Creek Cottage has 2 bedrooms with luxury mattresses and home-made quilts. It is a short walk--just 2 blocks--from shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Adjacent to Sutter Creek Cottage is a foot-bridge that crosses Sutter Creek to Minnie Provis Park. Shenandoah Valley, Amador's wine tasting region, is a short, 10-minute drive away.

Local historic sites of interest include Knight Foundry (across the street), the Monteverde Store (3 blocks away), and Kennedy Mine (about 1 mile away).

Sutter Creek and Amador County is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. In the Spring, Daffodil Hill is in full bloom and Sutter Creek is at its peak for the annual Duck Race. The warm days of Summer are delightful sipping on wine on the back deck of Sutter Creek Cottage that overlooks the creek that the town is named after. Vintage cars cruise Main Street as music from live bands fills the air. Or go to one of the out door theaters to watch a play. Autumn colors are spectacular and wineries are busy with their Harvest Festivals or attend Sutter Creek's annual Blues and Brews celebration. The Holiday season finds Sutter Creek celebrating its small town simplicity with parades and Christmas celebrations. In Winter, Kirkwood ski resort is at its peak, and is just 1 hour from Sutter Creek Cottage.

Another excellent stay at the Sutter Creek house. I thinks it’s our 6th or 7th. Comfy bed, excellent linens, immaculately clean and comfortable. Lovely new kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful new exterior paint. Fun to sit on the rocking chairs on the front porch! Close to walk to everything! Highly recommend Rosa’s Cucina down the street! Will be back next year!

We had an amazing time at this home! The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything we wanted to do, yet peaceful and relaxing. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! It’s even more spacious and charming in person. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway!

This house was really comfortable and quaint. It’s right next to the creek and a very short stroll from Main Street. The beds are super comfortable and the house has a lot of charm. Our favorite part was the neighbor’s sweet, mellow, chunky black cat Mr. Jigs, who was dutiful in his role as the neighborhood welcoming committee. He was happy to say hello and even sat on my lap on the porch and purred.

This lovely home is so inviting and has everything ready to make for a comfortable stay. We enjoy attending concerts at the theater a block away, so this will definitely be our go to spot anytime we are able. Comfort is the best way to describe this home.

Great little place. Overall nice house with updated kitchen, laundry and bath. everything was great. A few little upgrades could make this place great. The living room could use updating to comfier furniture ( chairs worn) . There was no double futon as stated in the listing. if you care to watch movies or TV, in the evening television is very small. Surprised the owner hasn’t updated to a safer check in with keypad ( still leaves a key hanging by back door ) The deadbolts on doors lock easily. Making it possible to lock if the door closes itself. We were careful. But easily could get locked out. People walking down street could be loud at times

I came to Sutter Creek to take in a Rita Hosking show at the Sutter Creek Theater. This house is a short walk from most of the in town attractions of Sutter Creek. Great restaurants, fun bars, and lots of history are steps away. This is a wonderful old house, that feels a lot like coming home. It is well stocked and full of just about anything you could want, from a great book selection to coffee waiting for you in the fridge, and good ice in the freezer. The only thing I thought I was missing was a step ladder, but I found that in the laundry room when I was getting ready for check out. Most every detail has been thought of to make your stay easy and relaxing.

This was our second time in this perfectly-located house where we could walk to shops, restaurants, the Farmers’ Market, and the “general store”. Despite being so close to Main Street, the house is quiet. Sitting in the back yard listening to the creek was a favorite and a lovely relaxing way to start and end the days. Front porch rockers were enjoyable too. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time we are in the area.

This was my 5th time staying at this adorable cottage. My brother and sister-in-law were visiting from Alabama for our daughters wedding and wanted to spend some time in the Wine Country after the wedding. I suggested Amador over the other "popular place" and they loved it! The cottage was a perfect location for the adorable Sutter Creek downtown and all the Amador Wineries. We'll definitely be back again!

I came up to Sutter Creek with my small dog for a short stay and to enjoy the antiques fair this Saturday (5/25). My little house was exceptionally clean and well-appointed, with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. The large yard is entirely fenced, which makes it perfect for allowing a dog out on his own when needed, and the gardens are charming, with a little sitting area overlooking the creek. The listing said there was no wifi, but in fact the cottage does have wifi, which was a nice surprise. There are two bedrooms, and I just shut one off undisturbed and slept in the other, in a very comfortable bed. There is a dresser and a large closet, which I appreciated as I like to completely unpack. I would wish that there were more clothes hangers, though. The closet has maybe half a dozen basic plastic ones, and probably forty of those thin wire hangers. I'd get rid of those and equip the closet with more of the plastic ones. The bathroom has a large enclosed tile/glass shower, and the biggest, fluffiest towels i've ever had the pleasure to encounter! A note: this listing is one of those which ask visitors to do some clean-up chores at the end of the stay: strip the bed and put the sheets and towels in the laundry room; rinse off dishes etc., and put them in the dishwasher and start it; and take up the garbage and recyclables. There is a charge for cleaning on top of this, but the last minute chores aren't that difficult, and the house is super clean!
