Luxury Villa with large pool close to Florence

We had a wonderful stay. Fonsy and Enzo were excellent hosts and are very nice people. Fonsy cooked dinner for us every evening and breakfast every morning of our stay, and everything was so delicious!! The property and the views are beautiful. Communication was easy before and during our stay. We were there in October so the pool was closed as it was too cold. Location was perfect for day trips to Montepulciano, Siena, San Gimignano and Lucca. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return again.

The accommodation was perfect for our 3 generation family group. We loved the quiet location of this historic home. The views from the apartment are stunning. The flower filled gardens are beautiful and we all enjoyed the pool and shady seating areas around it.Fonzy and Enzo are excellent welcoming hosts and we would definitely recommend having some of Fonzy’s delicious dinners.The villa is accessed by a long and bumpy track but it is well worth taking it to stay in this beautiful holiday home.Thank you Fonzy and Enzo!

The property was absolutely incredible! The grounds are gorgeous, and the views from every room in the villa are just breathtaking. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, you won’t find anywhere else like it. When we walked through the gates, we were instantly transported to a place of calm and tranquility. Checking in with Fonzi and Enzo was a breeze - they were the most friendly and helpful people. They’re now like family to us! Fonzi was an absolute pro at communicating, and let me tell you, the Tuscan meals she cooked for our family were absolutely delicious - they were all buonissimo! The house was perfect, and the location couldn’t be better. We’ll definitely be back in a heartbeat! We miss you, Fonzi and Enzo! Arrivederci.

This was the trip that I had dreamed of for years........a week in Tuscany with our 2 adult daughters and their husbands. No grandchildren on this trip.......time to enjoy just relaxing with our daughters and son-in-laws that are so very busy taking care of their little ones. With 6 grandchildren 6 years old and under......this was a rare treat for all.We could not have chosen a more perfect villa!!! From the time we drove up the winding road and reached the welcoming sign on the gate we knew we were in for treat. Both Fonsi and her husband Enzo greeted us in the front yard as we arrived. Il Faeto is perched on the top of a hill in the Chianti countryside. Every morning we woke up to see a beautiful view of the sunrise over the Arno Valley from our bedroom windows...stunning! After a day of touring the countryside it was great to come back in the late afternoons and evenings and sit by their beautiful pool or in the front yard that overlooks to valley........drink wine and relax....a memory etched in my mind forever.We used the villa as our home base to take side trips to Florence, Siena, Volterra and many of the wonderful Chianti Classico Wineries in the area. Fonsi is a superb true Tuscan cook. She owned an outstanding restaurant in Florence for almost 20 years, but decided she was tired of that very busy schedule and wanted to move to the countryside to concentrate her energy on creating beautiful spot to enjoy the magic of Tuscany. We knew from the first night Fonsi cooked dinner for us that we wanted to start and end each day with her home cooked meals. The setting was relaxing and the food absolutely delicious! No worries on having to drive ourselves anywhere after having wine to drink. We also asked Fonsi to do a cooking class for the 6 of us......oh my.....it was wonderful! Roses abound everywhere on the picturesque property. Her vegetable garden provides the freshest of ingredients for her meals along with an abundance of chickens that provide fresh eggs. daily. The property is outstanding, but it was the kindness of Fonsi, Enzo and Pedro, the dog that will stay in our memories forever. Thank you dear friends!
