About this apartment rental
Casa Montechiaro consists of double vaulted room divided by an arch, a fine example of classical Mediterranean architecture. Two ample arched windows overlook the Amalfi Drive and the Mediterranean Sea.

Casa Montechiaro is a characteristic ancient house which faces the sun and the sea.
Just a few minutes walk from the center of Positano, Casa Montechiaro is one of four independent apartments that occupy a whitewashed, Moorish structure. A six foot high wall separates its terrace from that of the neighbor's, and lush gardens separate similar homes invoking an oasis like atmosphere.
From Casa Montechiaro you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the coastline.
Casa Montechiaro is 80 square meters (860 square feet). It features a nice private terrace with a view of the sea and air conditioning.
You will be roughly 800 meters (half a mile) from Positano, where you will find restaurants, the shops, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the stop for the local bus and the SITA bus at 100 meters (330 feet).
You will reach Casa Montechiaro from the street level along a 100-meters (330-feet) public walkway that includes approximately 150 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Montechiaro. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces) or in a private parking lot downtown (where a space can be reserved).
Terrace
The terrace is 10 square meters (107 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table and chairs From the terrace you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the coastline.
Living Room
The living room is paved with characteristic majolica tiles. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and bright.
The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of Positano through a double-glazed French door. The room has a double-glazed porthole window with a view of the vegetation. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room. The furnishings are cozy and comfortable. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a double-glazed French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower and a hairdryer.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from a corridor.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from a corridor. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.

I absolutely loved this apartment, the architecture of the place is unbelievable. Everything is pristine and comfortable. It is about 120 steps from the road but the host will arrange a porter for you to carry your bags for a small fee, definitely ask for the porter! He was attentive and offered to help with anything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. The view is unmatched!

We enjoyed the beautiful view every day from our porch. Having the kitchen to prepare a few meals was great for us. The stairs to the apartment from the street was a wonderful workout after eating our way through Italy. Rafaelle arranged private driving to and from the airport as well as an excursion and a porter for our luggage haul to and from the apartment which made our trip much easier. Looking forward to our next visit.

We can’t say enough about how absolutely incredible Raffaele’s home is! Right from the start Raffaele communicated with us setting up a ride from the airport and porters to take our luggage up the many steps to the house. We arrived to find Anna there to greet us and show us the house. We couldn’t believe how beautiful it was! Even better than the pictures. Everything was spotless and the place was tastefully decorated. It provided us with everything we needed and more. 2 bathrooms, clothes washer and drying rack. Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher and an amazing large balcony overlooking the Mediterranean! The view is incredible and can be seen from everywhere in the house! We couldn’t get enough of it! When we first arrived, Raffaele had flowers, Prosecco, cheese, tomatoes, and bread to help us celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with a beautiful hand written card. There was also a bottle of wine and water in the fridge. Coffe and tea were also provided. It was so special, it made us feel really welcomed.
We truly enjoyed our time in Positano and we were able to explore the Amalfi coast from this location. Our favorite time was when we had coffee and wine on the balcony. We also hired Angela, Raffaele’s sister, to cook us a local meal homemade in our kitchen. That was an experience not to be missed. Thank you, Raffaelle, Angela and Anna for making this such a special time for us. We highly recommend Casa Montechiaro and would love to come back one day!!!

Raffael is awesome, best host of Positano. He is always available and accommodating for any adventures and transportation. The property is beautiful and overlooks the beauty of the Positano. This was about second stay and can’t WAIT for our 3rd.
