About this house rental
Unique point lot on the prettiest spot on the St. John's River with two docks. Enjoy sunsets while catching big fish right from the dock. Cozy clean house sleeps 7 includes cable TVs, wifi, laundry, board game, fully equipped kitchen and a canoe for use by guests. Location is great for day trips to St. Augustine (40 minutes), Daytona Beach (45 minutes), Deland (50 minutes) and Jacksonville (1 Hour). State parks offer great hiking, natural springs and bird watching. The Ocala National Park is right across the river and offers the sounds of wild boar, birds and owls. If pond fishing is more your speed, guests have access to our property and dock across the lawn. Great bass fishing in the river or on the pond. Bring your boat and be at the Croker Hole or Oklawaha River in less than 10 minutes.

The time spent in this lovely home was ideal. The location on the river was spectacular, and was enjoyed by all of us. Caught lots and lots of crabs and ate well every night. I am looking forward to a return to the river, and relaxing on the dock. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Inside the house was clean but dated. Porch deck and boat dock needs a lot of repairs and cleaning. We like staying outside at a place like this. There was a beautiful view and sunset on the boat dock. But the dock was in need of repair. The side deck had a wonderful breeze coming down the canal and was very peaceful. But the deck there was in need of repair and cleaning up also. A waterline busted in one of the showers and flooded the hall. Were limited to one shower after that. Needs a new microwave. It was coming apart and made a noise.
With some TLC and upgrades, this would be the best lot in the area.

This is a very quiet property, in a nice neighborhood. The best is the location on the river. You look across at the beautiful ocala national forest. There are lots of herons, anhingas, cormorants and eagles. Also pelicans at the evening. We do not fish, but you can see fish jumping all the time. If you go boating on the river, there are not many houses or structures, and you mostly are looking at nature. The house is large, with excellent showers, but lacks good pots and pans, etc, and also has no smoke detectors. Although it says non smoking, the prior guests smoked and it took a full month for it to mostly go away.
