Welcome to our freshly painted 3BR/3BA home at the Caribbean-style development of Bahama Sands Luxury Condominiums in the Crescent Beach area of North Myrtle Beach.
Unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean grace this lovely, finely furnished condo on the 11th floor. Our handicapped-accessible condo not only has the most natural light, it is also the largest “C” floor plan. There are 3 balconies, all with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Amenities include an exterior sun deck, a 5th floor interior pool and bathing deck, an exterior ground floor pool, spa, lazy river, and a small-child pool.
The freshly painted interior of #1109 promises more space than any other floor plan. A new sofa couch with an interior 5" gel mattress. Beds are outfitted with Sealy Posturpedic mattresses, 4 new digital and Smart flat-screen televisions and high-speed wireless internet. Three private balconies with glass panels allow panoramic ocean vistas throughout. The tiled entry hall leads to the first of 3 large bedrooms, an open kitchen with Granite counter tops, dining and living rooms with floor to ceiling glass sliders, upgraded new appliances, a master bath and whirlpool, laundry facilities with a new GE stackable washer dryer, microwave, and Cuisinart Professional stainless steel cookware. Our beachfront location provides close access to myriad shopping, ice cream and coffee shops, groceries, and all manner of leisure and sporting activities. Things to do are too numerous to note, but some that we especially enjoy include shark tooth hunting on our beach, Ripley’s Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, Tigers Preservation, Broadway at the Beach, the Tanger Outlets, Barefoot Landing, the Alabama Theater, and Market Common.

Surprise Guest Find!
The best fossil beds in the area from what I have learned and after years of searching for teeth and fossils is in front of the building or from 2nd Avenue Pier South about 1/4 mile. That stretch has an area that has a sort of shelf back at the very edge from where the water hits at low tide. And it washes up lots of fossils!
We found 100+ nice pieces this last trip and at least a few nice great white teeth also. Several fossilized pieces of bone or larger teeth, coral.. etc. And dozens of whole shells.
That is where a lot of the ppl that live locally and come regularly to hunt teeth go also. At low tide you can walk out where the waves break and if you have a net you can scoop up nice shells and sift out some teeth/fossils also.

I enjoyed the stay for the most part. I loved the view and having a corner unit with much more light. The unit was clean and I had enough of everything I needed. I would also like to point out that the light over the stove was not working. My biggest issue with condos, hotels, etc. is that the mattresses are always lacking. I can appreciate the volume of people that use the mattress, however, people need to have a good nights sleep otherwise their trip is ruined. When I laid down, the mattress was so soft I felt like I was jack-knifing. So I disassembled the bed to find out what was going on only to find a 6 inch foam pad zipped up inside of a disintegrating mattress cover. That mattress cover must have been super old to disintegrate so completely that I had plastic or rubber bits everywhere that I had to vacuum. After removing those items, I found out why the foam pad was necessary. The mattress was so heavily stained with what looked like blood on one end, and sweat or urine on the other end. The mattress was also quite worn out and lumpy on one end. Yes, it's a Sealy Posturpedic, but even those need to be replaced since you can no longer flip mattresses for even wear. Bottom line is, I was disgusted and didn't sleep well any nights. That mattress was 100% unhygienic and should be replaced along with mattress pad. It's a small price for owners to pay to keep their ratings up. And at this time of year, mattresses are being sold for 50-75% discount.
