Welcome to Villa Tortuga! Tortuga means "turtle" in Spanish. It is a gated, well maintained property in a stately neighborhood in Christiansted. This lovely home sits on just under an acre of lush, tropical paradise. Brilliant flamboyant trees and sea views greet you as you enter through the gate. Your first steps through the front door of this vacation paradise draws your eyes immediately to the spectacular view. As you step out onto an incredible 1000 square foot deck, the views become even more breathtaking. The expansive deck has several vignettes to enjoy meals, relax in the spa tub, read a book or soak up the sun. The views this home have are paramount. On clear days you can see St. John to the left. As night falls, the view becomes a stargazer's paradise. The home decor is both elegant and tropical. It has dark mahogany furnishings, accented with vibrant Caribbean colors. The primary bedroom has a king size bed and en suite bathroom. Villa Tortuga is serene and peaceful, yet it's only 5 minutes from downtown Christiansted, shopping and restaurants. If you choose to cook at home, Villa Tortuga is also only a few minutes away from the local supermarket. Open the doors to your Caribbean getaway at Villa Tortuga!

We loved our stay in the Villa Tortuga. On our last full day we decided that staying on the deck and in the hot tub with the heater off was a better choice than heading to another beach! Someone should advise the landlord that Jets #2 were not functioning and were coming on but then kicking off right away, which to me an old CPO would indicate a faulty electrical connection or a compromised pump which should be addressed ASAP for safety reasons. Not a problem, just an observation. And we never had to turn on any air conditioning because the Trade Winds kept us more then comfortable. Thank you so much!

We spent 10 days here - perfect pick! We travel a lot and this is one of the most user-friendly experiences we have had. James is super responsive, the house is in a great locaton...close to Christianstedt, yet totally private, easy access to the entire island, great parking, and easy driving overall. As the pictures indicate the deck is amazing, as are the views (one tip, if you like dry cushions, you might want to pull them in at night as overnight showers seem to be frequent : ) The hot tub - super fun way to watch the stars/moon and city lights after dark. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, also lots of towels, beach chairs, snorkling gear and more. I always want to know about the bed - very comfortable! We only used air conditioning in the bedroom at night - other than that, no need for it! The house isn't super new construction, but it is well maintained. We seldon watch TV while vacationing, but did watch a few Netflix movies, which was nice. I spend a lot of time researching where we stay and do read the reviews. This is a location I would definitely recommend if you like space, comfort, cooking, privacy and low-key vacationing. There are many good grocery stores near by and restaurants within 10-15 minutes of the house. We ate out a few times, but the view from our deck was so great - it was hard to want to be anywhere else for dinner!
