This apartment was so comfortable and functional. It was close to everything fun; historic Folsom, light rail to Sacramento, easy shopping on Bidwell St. , great dog walking on the Johnny Cash Trail. Had no problem cooking in the fully equipped kitchen

Very good management very well appointed one bedroom one bath, with the kitchen and everything you need to use it…but the best part is it’s Location, and that I would have to say is outstanding ! A block from downtown old Folsom and the American River powerhouse museum yet dead quiet all day and all night…We will be back..!

Our hosts went above and beyond for us - topping off a lovely 3 night stay in their ADU apartment. Several times the hosts swept in and saved us - once we needed duct tape and another time we asked them to mail something we forgot. The apartment is nicely appointed and so so close to "old downtown Folsom!"

This Folsom cottage is ideal for a couple looking for someplace comfortable, quiet and serene. Walking distance to all the tourist action, the cottage itself is surrounded by lush mature trees and plantings creating a quiet oasis. We were in town for a wedding so didn’t do any of the tourist attractions; staying in a residential area was ideal. The lovely deck was perfect for morning journaling and evening wine. Everything has been newly updated, the bed was more heavenly than any other we’ve ever slept in, and the owners made sure our stay was perfect. 10 out of 10!

We extremely enjoyed our stay. The property was wonderfully located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to old town Folsom where we enjoyed eating at several yummy pubs and restaurants. We enjoyed long walks around the lake and visited the local zoo. The property was very nicely updated and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend and plan to stay here again when I come back to Folsom.

Every time we stay in Folsom, we stay here. Perfect 1/1 for my husband and me and our two small pups. Right next to MILES of cycling/jogging trails and the river, mere steps to historic Folsom with all its shops and eateries, but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Maureen is lovely always. Our stay here has been fantastic. We love the location, which is a few blocks to the Folsom Historic District, including restaurants, shops and coffee places. Also it is within walking distance to trails along the Folsom Lake. This unit is well equipped with everything you could want. It is artfully decorated. It is well furnished with a very comfortable bed. The deck is surrounded by trees with sun and shade and equipped with tables and chairs. The owners are friendly, responsive and helpful! We have stayed here previously and it is still as lovely as we remembered it. This is a gem of a heavenly place! We highly recommend it!!

I loved staying in this cottage. Everything was beautifully maintained. I appreciated the quality of the furnishing and the finishes, the kitchen appliances, pots, pans, etc. It all made my stay that much better. The location is perfect. With my dogs, I loved that I could get on a trail along the river right from the apartment. Without you are also a few blocks from the interesting old town. The owners are attentive to detail, responsive and have provided everything you need for a great and comfortable stay.

We had an amazing time! We didn’t get out much except to the lake but boy, did we make use of the spool! It’s big enough to do 4-5 crawl strokes depending on how tall (long?) you are - big enough for my 3 year old and I. Maureen, Tom, Rocky & Nala were impeccable hosts! The cottage is MUCH better than the pics posted. It’s beautiful, spotless and very well stocked! We’re looking forward to staying here again next year. This was my first time using VRBO and if this stay was indicative of what I have to look forward to, I will be a frequent user. 5 stars!

I stayed at this cute cottage with my husband, 2 kids and dog for a week, and absolutely loved every minute of it. My kids loved hanging out in the spool while my husband and I enjoyed the lovely surroundings. The area is quite and the neighbors across the way were really nice, they give us suggestions of where to go and which restaurants to try. There's lots to do and lots of new places to eat. The owners were super nice and accommodating. We had fresh cookies and jam waiting for us when we arrived. We would love to come back and spend time in our favorite town and lake. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Where to start? The cottage had everything - fast WiFi, amazingly efficient air conditioning, beautiful furnishings, comfortable bed, kitchen with everything (stocked Keurig, cooking pans, utensils, big frig, etc). Quiet streets to walk the dog. Super close to downtown Folsom. We were moving into our new home and the location was perfect as it a couple miles from supermarkets, target, furniture stores and all the other places we had to grab things for the new house. The owners obviously have this process down pat. Efficient and easy checkin and secure locking up process. The unit has been newly remodeled and is gorgeous. There is wonderful natural light without direct sunlight. There is a relaxing outdoor deck that has giant shady trees and is home to two entertaining squirrels. I could go on and on. Stay here!

The big stuff everyone knows...location, cozy cottage, clean and comfortable etc etc but the beauty is in the details. Like... a bottle of good wine, fully stocked Keurig, half & half, dog bowls for any puppy, welcome board with local activities on it. This makes you feel thought of and really welcomed.

Everything was five stars. Check in was easy. The property is well maintained and well stocked. The location is perfect. Quiet but easy safe walk to bars restaurants and everything in old Folsom. A little cottage, tucked away...

We decided to get away for a few days and discover the cycling community around Folsom, hearing much about the bike paths and the installation of the new Johnny Cash trail. It was our anniversary and we have some family in Rocklin but don't like imposing, nor enjoy hotels. The cottage is situated behind the house, with a patio. Plenty of shade, peace and quiet, and accessible by foot to the downtown Folsom and the bike trails. The property owner left us with clear instructions, but accessible if ever needed. We never even met, but felt like they were very approachable and very nice people. The cottage is lovely - comfortable and very well cared for. They put their own imprint on the place and had just about anything and everything you could think of - towels, coffee, cold water, you name it ... even a complete binder of what to do in the area and some clear instructions of the cottage. The neighbors are friendly and so are the owners pets - which I only spotted Nala. If it was not so hot, I think they all would have been more social. The area has a lot to offer - there is a museum at the Prison and outdoor concerts. We were able to meet family for dinner in El Dorado Hills, while getting to listen to the symphony, and walking through the Town Center. Dining in the Downtown Folsom is great - visit the Chicago Fire, they have a gluten free crust with goat cheese, olives, spinach, and mushrooms that was delicious. We also enjoyed (twice!) the Sutter Street Grill for breakfast. My husband enjoyed their sausage gravy, while I splurged on the bacon and an omlette of mushrooms, spinach, avocado, and feta. The Sutter St Taqueria is also worth a mention - a lot of food and spicy salsa...but we found Messy's Tacos & Treats in Loomis.... I would not only say that Messy's is legit but operating at a higher level. Thanks Maureen and family - we hope to return!

This perfect cottage has it all! Well stocked, clean, comfortable and is located in the perfect location being just a few blocks to all the fabulous and fun things to do and see in Historic Folsom. In addition to visiting all the great shops and restaurants downtown, we enjoyed the Folsom Zoo/Sanctuary, the Art Center, and the Farmer’s Market. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay here, the spool, furry friends, deck and bbq! Maureen has added all the perfect little touches and has thought of everything one might need right down to fresh ice in the ice maker! (Much appreciated on a hot summer day). Thank you Maureen for making our stay Perfect! and for accommodating our need for extra days. Mary and Gavin W.

The property was wonderful. The location is the best because it is within very easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, biking and walking trails, parks and Lake Natoma. The place was immaculate and very well stocked with everything we needed. It was so nice that we could bring our dog. She enjoyed swimming in Lake Natoma. We will definitely return. What a great place!!

The location is the best part - cute downtown, lake access, bike/hike trails ONE BLOCK away! So many little touches that made traveling easier - a lint brush, right when I needed it! Even though it was hot, the town is covered with mature trees, making walking comfortable into the 90s. And then you could come home to the air conditioning if you overdid it. Thank you, Maureen, for sharing your cottage with us!
