Extra-large gingerbread cottage in historic Campgrounds in Oak Bluffs, sleeps nine. Located on a double lot in the heart of the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association in Oak Bluffs, this extra-large cottage has five bedrooms and sleeps nine comfortably. The cottage has two full baths, both of which were completely renovated over the past few years. One with a cast iron tub and one with a tiled shower. A completely private outdoor shower made from cedar and accessible by a raised walkway from the back door of the house is the perfect place to clean off after the beach or simply to enjoy the fresh air with the morning shower. Set back from a wide quiet street, the house is a five minute walk from Oak Bluffs downtown and harbor. The covered wraparound front porch is the perfect place to enjoy the morning coffee or dinner on a summer evening. The porch boasts a classic porch swing, wicker rocking chairs and a teak table and chairs set. The extra-large lot means the house offers considerably more privacy than many Campgrounds cottages. There are two reserved parking spots behind the house.
In addition to the two full baths, the first floor has a back hall with a washer and dryer, a full kitchen with a gas range, a dining room and a large living room with a newly refinished pumpkin pine floor. The upstairs has five bedrooms (two are walk-throughs) with one queen bed, one full bed, three twins and one set of bunk beds. The master bedroom is in the front of the house and has a large set of French doors leading to the balcony over the front porch.
The house, originally built in the 1860s, has been in the same family for over fifty years, and has been lovingly maintained.

This was probably our 4th time staying here. It's about a 10 min walk to the circuit through the tabernacle and very peaceful. The house has everything you need and the owner always leaves a gift card for their favorite ice cream shop/candy store, which is always a fun bonus :)Thanks for sharing your home with us!

The house was lovely and was stocked with everything we needed, beach chairs and umbrella included. Our host was very responsive to questions both before and during our stay.

One of the BEST locations in Oak Bluffs. The house is in the charming MVCA campgrounds but it is not in the most center part where the foot traffic is constant. It is an easy 8 minute walk to the center of Oak Bluffs. The cottage is also positioned to easily get out of Oak Bluffs by bike or car, you can avoid traffic easily when going to Edgartown or Menemsha. Andrew is an outstanding host, especially with all the chaos due to Covid-19. The cottage super clean, it is clear they have been working to make sure everyone is safe when visiting. The cottage is well stocked with general items (linens, paper towels, soap) as well as all the little things that you are used to having at home (extra towels, toaster oven, coffee pot, cast iron pan, charcoal grill, board games, boogie boards, and so much more). It really made our stay so enjoyable. Andrew was also incredibly responsive, helpful, and caring.It is still cottage living, there is no TV (which shouldn't matter go out and enjoy the vineyard), no AC (but there are fans), limited outlets for device charging (we just set up a charging station in the dining room), and as with many of the homes in Oak Bluffs...a unique layout (three bedrooms are in a row so you have to pass through the first two to get to the last). Most of this seems clear in the description but not everyone reads those.
