About this house rental
NEW element — just had new full Air Conditioning systems installed (May 2023) in all main areas, all bedrooms and guest house. Works great! Our waterfront home, which we call "Sunset Cove", has been in our family for over 80 years, was redeveloped in the 1980s (as year-round house) and is a great place for all ages.
Here on a 32-mile-long lake, you can enjoy the beauty of Lake George, known since Thomas Jefferson’s time as the “Queen of American Lakes”; fireworks shows easily viewed from the house; spectacular sunsets; waterfront accessibility on our 110+ feet of shoreline with a sandy beach and deeper water around the docks; and close proximity to entertainment, which includes the Top of the World 18-hole golf course (1 mile away), Ushers Park tennis courts (2 miles), Lake George Village (3 miles), Six Flags amusement park (also called Great Escape, 8 miles) and Saratoga Horse Race Track (30 miles).
SUNSET COVE
At our lakeside house, you can relax on a screened-in porch, covered deck, uncovered deck, or patio...all with views of Lake George’s pristine clear waters. There are picnic tables on the deck and patio, and an outdoor grill on the deck. In addition, we provide one full-sized canoe, three (yes, three) one-person kayaks, life jackets, fishing rods, floating tubes, and swim rafts anchored in 3-6 feet deep water in the close in area in center of property, which brings 'fun time' for swimmers of all ages. The boat house is available and can accommodate a motor boat of up to 22 feet. There is also a basketball hoop in the driveway, which can hold six cars.
Inside, we provide 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms in the main house, along with 1 bedroom and 1 full bathroom in the guest house, which is less than 30 feet from the main house. The main level in the main house has an open floor plan that integrates kitchen, dining, and living room space. The lower (lakeside entry) level has a large open family room, as well as a second refrigerator/freezer.
Amenities include 3 televisions (2 in the main house and 1 in the guest house), internet access (wired and WiFi), DVD player in the main house, and there is now new air conditioning system in ALL main areas, ALL bedrooms, and in guest house.
RENTAL INFORMATION
The rentals for this property include parts of June, the later half of July, and all of August. During this period, we only rent by the week (7-night minimum stay), from Saturday (check in at 3pm) to Saturday (check out time at 9am).

We had such a wonderful time here. The view is gorgeous, plenty of areas to be together or spread out and get your own space. They provided everything we needed, ample towels, cookware, dishes, etc., pantry items, extra pillows and towels. For the water, first of all the beach is amazing, you don't see many sand beaches at private residences, we even looked from the Mini Haha, second of all there is a large shallow area my 3 year old could walk around in up to her chest, and they provide maybe a dozen tubes/floats/inflatables, plenty of life jackets, kayak and canoe. My husband spent the entire time fishing off the dock and caught decent sized large and small mouth bass, cat fish, and countless little bass/sunfish. We brought our own poles, but they even provided several if we hadn't. Everything is in great condition. All the linens, furniture, carpets, decor were newer than the photos. We weren't sure if we wanted to be on the west or east side of the lake, and I think the east side was best for us. In the cooler mornings until noon we could go do activities, then when the sun hit the beach and grass we could lay around in or out of the water and relax until sunset. We were super close to everything, my husband ran to Million Dollar beach and back every morning.

Perfect location for a Lake George vacation. Owners could not have been any more hospitable. They were there to greet us upon arrival and walk the house. House is filled with amenities from life jackets, canoe, kayak, tons of rafts, noodles, etc. plenty of room for family gatherings on the screened porch and outside directly on the lake. Also included are tons of linens, including beach towels. Owners made available pantry items as well. Just pack your clothes and you are all set at this rental! Gorgeous sunsets, nice covered boat dock. We had an absolutely fantastic relaxing vacation at this lakeside house! Could not have asked for more.
