Travel Inn Hostel

The location was excellent and made it easy to explore Baku. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well when it was on. Overall, the facilities were decent and the hostel met the basics for a short stay.

The biggest issue was that the air conditioning was switched off for much of the day, which made the hostel uncomfortably hot. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable. The atmosphere wasn't very social, which may or may not matter depending on what you're looking for. We also had a poor experience in our dorm. Some guests came in around 2 a.m., talking at full volume and turning on the lights. It seemed they knew the staff, which made it feel like this behaviour wasn't being addressed. Finally, I found the staff could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly.

- There is no cooker/hob/oven in the kitchen. This is by design. The guests therefore cannot cook any meals. How can you have a kitchen and then purposely prevent your guests from cooking? That's almost cheating. For this reason, the hostel gets only 8 stars rather than a 10.

Comfortable clean place to stay

The location and the facilities are amazing. Very spacious, airy with lots of storage space, natural light, fresh clean white bedding, separate showers and toilets. It was all you could ask for and more. The staff were also excellent and helped with the registration letter for stays exceeding 15 days in Azerbaijan without any issue. I did not want to leave!

Everything at the hostal was excellent, only thing which the hostal can't really control are guest coming in and out of rooms and making lots of noise in the middle of the night.
