About this country house rental
The Red Barn warmly invites you to a quality, self catering experience and an opportunity for social distancing in 5 acres of woodland. Our home is your home for your holiday, enjoy a quiet, relaxing time any season from the deck or the hot tub. Spend valuable time with your family and friends with our facilities offering bathrooms on each of the three floors.
The Red Barn is just 14 miles from the Stowe Mountain area, where the activities are vast from skiing, snowboarding, sleigh rides, winter walking and ice skating in the winter, to a world class water wonderland at Smugglers Notch in the summer. Lake Elmore and The National State Park is just a 1 mile walk away from the Red Barn for swimming, kayaking and hiking up Elmore mountain, overlooking the lake. We have a few bicycles at The Red Barn and more rentals in Morrisville such as bicycles, kayaks skis in the area for you to use, and ample space at the barn for storage of these articles.
Our home boasts five spacious bedrooms on 3 floors with a bathroom on each floor, the house sleeps 11 people. The loft houses one queen bed and two twin beds with a bathroom. The ground floor a queen bedroom, bathroom, fully fitted kitchen with an eating area & two bar stools, a large table and 8 chairs, whilst the lounge area provides welcoming comfort on two large sofas, a love nest and the log burning stove, and a 70" Smart Sony TV/DVD and Soundbar. (which connects via bluetooth to a number of different devices such as iPhone/IPad etc. The basement is an ideal den for the young adults in your party, with a queen bedroom, bedroom two (with a single and queen beds) and a lounge area with large sofas as a Cinema type facility, and a separate queen size sofa/sleeper, large chair, board games. ping pong table, TV/DVD/computer play station and games. The laundry facilities are also in the basement control room and include new washing machine and separate tumble dryer, Dyson vacuum and a central vacuum system.
For the shoppers in your party, Burlington is a vibrant city with a large range of shops. Stowe Village provides a quaint shopping experience and the capital city of Vermont, Montpelier is only 30 minutes away. Come and enjoy the unique art and craft experience of Vermont including a Woody Jackson painting of the Red Barn.

Cozy cabin, lovely backyard with hot tub, and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our family. We loved the homey feel of the place, including the local artwork. We wished it had been a little more thoroughly cleaned and that there had been more basics to increase comfort (e.g., soap, shampoo, coffee, cooking oil). Overall, it was a great stay.

The Red Barn is perfect for our group, this is our 2nd time there. Plenty of room in both the house and property, where we can sit out by fire or use the hot tub, and not worry about the closeness of any neighbors if were up a little late. Having the spacious barn for activities if foul weather is also a definite plus

We absolutely loved The Red Barn. My husband and I traveled up to Vermont to get married on my grandparents 75th wedding anniversary. With all of the Covid restrictions we thought a small intimate wedding would be best. We had the most beautiful wedding ceremony behind the Airbnb with a beautiful wooded backdrop and then danced the night away in the barn with some Bluetooth speakers we brought from home! The house was so cozy and perfect for our family that traveled up with us! The property manager was so nice and easy to communicate with throughout the stay! We couldn’t have asked for a better host! The house was centrally located to many restaurants, breweries, parks, and trails! Stowe was about a 20 minute drive. Morrisville was a very short drive and we fell in love with a local bar and restaurant called Moogs! (10 railroad st was another amazing restaurant with excellent food)We will certainly be coming back to The Red Barn.
