Great location! Comfy bed & nice open floor plan beautifully furnished. NO complaints-we LOVED the rental- it was so much better than a hotel room & lots to walk to within 30 mins & quiet & safe area. If you require a dark room for sleep -plan to bring something to cover the wood window shutters especially if courtyard patio lights are kept on overnight—we prefer a batcave to sleep so we travel prepared :) When parking in garage make sure to look for black metal gate to enter to courtyard—you can’t go back thru that gate once inside—you have to use a diff gate with keypad to exit courtyard and walk thru parking lot beside the the private garage—not an issue but that extra detail will keep you from contacting host for help. You’ll have to climb 2 sets of stairs but the view is nice on 2nd floor. Pet fee was extra but was fair. Don was probably annoyed with us trying to navigate the gate & garage but once we figured out where & how it was easy peasy. This was our 3rd time to NOLA & fav place we’ve stayed so far. Would highly recommend for location & price.

No surprises, very accommodating.

The great parts: This place was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location is perfect (only a block away from the WWII museum!) The air conditioning also works surprisingly well for an older building! Some things to remember: This is an old historic building. Floors creak. The appliances aren't state of the art. The bathroom doorknob is almost falling off which means the door doesn't always close. There is a small hole in the bathroom ceiling. This is a second floor apartment, so you will hear every little step taken by the people above you. The front balcony isn't accessible, only the back balcony.WARNING: if you are parking in the garage, read the directions carefully! We went through the door on the back wall instead of the door on the right wall. We ended up in a locked (and dark) alley surrounded by high walls and locked gates. That certainly was not a good way to start our stay.
