About this house rental
Step onto the terrace for a massage with one of our recommended masseurs or take an afternoon swim in in the 50 foot pool-with-a-view and you will feel like you are in your own private resort. The property consists of a contemporary three bedroom, two and one-half bath main house, plus a Craftsman style one bedroom, one bath guest house, on a ridge-top location with spectacular 280-degree views of the vineyards of Sonoma Valley. There are five very private, fenced and gated acres, much of them level or gently sloping with mature oak and olive trees--ideal for relaxing with your family or friends.
The large, well-appointed gourmet kitchen has a six-burner Viking range, two convection ovens, a wine refrigerator, and concrete/steel counters. There is formal indoor dining for twelve people, casual outdoor dining for 12+.
The spacious master bedroom boasts a separate stereo system, television w/ DVD/VCR, satellite service w/HBO. The master bath has a two-person, Japanese-style soaking tub and a detached slate shower w/ skylight. New in 2008: Hardcourt Tennis court w/ basketball hoop.
All bedrooms have Frette bathrobes, 620 thread-count linens and tasteful furniture. In addition, there is 1500 square feet of decking for outdoor dining and relaxing, a lap pool with an automatic cover and a 6-person outdoor hot tub with a beautiful view of the Mayacamas mountains and the Sonoma valley.

We were 7 adults getting together for a reunion of sorts and the property was perfect. Loved the great room with the views! Really enjoyed having the tennis court and the pool...along with the ping pong table. (Would have been perfect for family/plenty to do.) The house sits at the top of a hill and has amazing views and places to sit and relax. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Only downside was that we didn't stay long enough. :). Oh and if I had to pick something to critique was that not all bedrooms were en suite, but not a big deal.

It was a great stay. We rented this for my husband and I and three other couples. each couple had their own room and it is so spacious. The morning views with the am fog were beautiful and reminded me so much of my time growing up in CA. Kitchen has everything you need including pods for the Nespresso machine which was great. Linens were fresh and clean & beds were very comfortable. Lots of wildlife around the property too which was magical. Sheep, deer and wild turkeys.

I would like to give an honest opinion of our recent stay. The location & scenery was absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately that's all that our money paid for. The house is rundown, grimy, musty & frumpy. When we first arrived, we were greeted by a couple of angry turkeys who were treading back & forth along the large windows of the back cement patio. Upon getting closer we realized that there were mounds of turkey poop the whole length of the patio! I was absolutely horrified & embarrassed for our guests who had joined us. It smelled awful. I spent over an hour hosing it off, because I didn't want anyone tracking it into the house. I texted the owner. He said that the maintenance guy was out there 2 days ago, but would send him back to power wash the patio the following morning. When we entered the home, it smelled very stale & musty...as though it had been closed up since winter! We went to open windows, but realized many of them did NOT have screens. The blades of the master bedroom ceiling fan were totally filthy & I had to clean them before we could turn the fan on. We also found all of the kitchen chairs stacked up...not the greatest impression. The next morning there was a huge hairy spider that came out of the sink! There was also a swarm of gnats flying around in master shower. Washer & dryer available, but only enough detergent for 1 wash. Sadly, not at all what we were expecting or hoping to experience during our stay.
