About this apartment rental
Part of the Castle Hill Haven Estate (see our VRBO listing: Castle Hill Haven Country Estate).
Nestled in acres of Kentucky woods and hills, Castle Hill Haven is close to civilization but worlds away from its bustle.
Pick berries and apples when they're in season, ramble in eleven acres of private land, or take a stroll down to the barn to see the chickens. Farm fresh eggs also available for purchase. Put your feet up in your 550 square foot Studio Suite or sip coffee at your table overlooking acres of woods and fields. Play or relax in The Cottage, a heated/cooled two-story playhouse with attached play set and a sitting/sleeping room with TV/DVD player and twin lofts. The Cottage can be rented for an additional $49 per day. (see photos)
Relax with an evening bonfire (arrange with host beforehand) or order an outdoor movie night (see special packages).
The Studio includes several small appliances: microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge, egg cooker, and instapot. No in-studio kitchen. Check with host about separate access to second kitchen in basement of main house for longer stays.
Castle Hill Haven sits off a country road with a handful of neighboring houses dotting a wooded valley. Sunset views from the front gate are breathtaking. Morning coffee at your studio table provides a glimpse of local wildlife and a stroll down the lane leads to Castle Hill Haven barn. Views from The Cottage windows and twin lofts look over the estate house and fields. During your stay, you can also enjoy our farm animals on site (details below).

Studio can accommodate the following:
Two adults
Two children, possibly adults (floor mattresses or pull-out couch).
The Cottage (located just behind the Studio) can accommodate these:
Four small-sized sleepers on a full-size pull-out couch and two small twin mattresses in twin playhouse lofts. The Cottage rental is $49 per night.
House rules:
-No smoking or alcoholic on property.
- Families with children welcome.
-Please note we are on a septic system; no items may be flushed except provided toilet paper.

Castle Hill Haven, 15 miles west of Elizabethtown, KY, is a perfect hub for exploring Central Kentucky.
Enjoy scenic country drives around Castle Hill Haven. Then visit nearby attractions:

Glendate, KY (25-30 min drive)
Charming village, antiques, restaurants, famous "Glendale Days" in mid-October.

Entertain your crowd with an outdoor movie in the orchard. Choose movies from our DVD library. Concessions, seats, and set up provided. Seasonal activity. Weather dependent. Check with host to see if this package is available during your stay. $65.00
On-site scavenger hunt:
Unravel riddles as you mix modern and medieval in an on-site digital scavenger hunt. Waiver form required for use of zip line and potato cannon. Bonfire included. $85.00. Check with host to see if this package is available during your stay.

Enjoy an evening of drama in the main house dining room provided on site from Stories to Inspire Kentucky. Stories to Inspire Kentucky offers a variety of one-woman shows from the 1800s To World War II.

Drama only: $85/group.
Dessert/refreshments included: add $5 per guest.

Hosts were so nice. Very tranquil setting. Horses, kittens, dogs, chickens are all on the property if you want to explore. Also beautiful rolling hills of Kentucky!

We really enjoyed our stay here. They made us feel right at home. Our kids had a blast, they played all over the grounds going from the playhouse to barn! They fed apples to the horses and watched the chickens run around. The outdoor movie was so cool and studio was clean and comfortable! Nice country setting!

Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Fed us after a very long motorcycle ride. Very positive experience and enjoyable stay. The absence of wifi, cable and cell service aided in our enjoyment of this peaceful setting. Awesome Christian movie selection, and other family friendly movies were provided. Andy Griffith tv show marathon was our favorite. The comfort of the bed was world class. Thank you Jody, David and family for a memorable experience.
