We enjoyed our stay, the Internet worked great -the kitchen was lacking in cooking pans, but Marilyn got us more immediately. She was very responsive to her needs.

Great check in process and good space in the house. Good location from town and hiking/recreation areas. The house was not very clean. Looked liked it was wiped down and vacuumed, but there were cobwebs, bugs, and dirt in many places. I was disappointed in the lack of pots/pans.

I had a good time, lovely scenery, homey atmosphere. Internet did not work, sort of did not matter considering we were trying to get away.

Great place to stay if u plan on floating the Buffalo from Ponca to Kyles Landing. Not far from Jasper, too. Had a great time, full kitchen for cooking and plenty of beds and bathrooms (2 1/2). Lots of yard to spread out on.

I know how difficult cleaning a big place is. However please use the fees we pay to have someone clean thoroughly, including the mice droppings under the sinks. I cleaned the 1/2 bath myself. We loved the house and the history and the views, enjoyed the firepit and porch, beds were clean and sheets fresh. So thank you for that! We'll recommend and try to come back!

Wonderful location for exploring the Buffalo River.

Overall, a great place to stay. It just needs some attention. Positives:If you're looking to spend time on the Buffalo River this location is fantastic for access to the upper sections. It was very clean.Things that need some attention:For a place advertised to sleep 8 people, there was a lack of utensils for 8, and other kitchen amenities like a large skillet and other odds and ends. The electrical system in the old house needs attention. Some receptacles didn't send enough power to charge phones, the microwave pulled too much power off the circuit and was sketchy, the lights would flicker occasionally. The broad band wasn't very broad. 8 people with smart devices put a load on the wifi and it often choked and did nothing. One shower for 8 people and a bathtub with a stopper that didn't seal. So, not baths as an alternative. The kitchen sink faucet needs replacing, it's seen better days. The grass had not been cut and several of us found ticks on ourselves. This is a safety hazard due to the risk of lyme disease and other tick related maladies. The single beds could use new mattresses, those that slept in them were not fans. The previous guests nor the host had taken the trash out to the street so the cans were full and bags left next to the cans by previous guests had been raided by wildlife and trash was strewn across the lawn.Overall, if the above issues were addressed I'd definitely consider staying there again. But as is, no, I'd look elsewhere.

The Coffey was as advertised. Central location between Ponca, Jasper and Pruitt. House was well stocked with everything needed for our big group to relax, cook and enjoy the area. Would recommend.

We enjoyed everything about this house and location. It was really nice to get out of town for a weekend and just relax. It’s located in a beautiful part of our state as well.

We came to hike the area for a few days and this property fit our needs very well. Restaurants in Jasper were very good too.

The communication from our host was friendly and fast. I really appreciate how responsive she was. We had all the information we needed before our stay. Our family had an amazing time. The location is fantastic, easy to find, and near great restaurants, the square, and outdoor activities. We enjoyed the open living area and the fire pit outside. The separate bedrooms provided great privacy for our young adult children. It was wonderful to have a pet-friendly location. Being an older home in a rural area makes it tough to keep critters out, but was overall a great place and had everything we needed for a weekend of family time. We've already discussed coming back.

The old Coffey place felt like home when we walked in. It was comfortable, roomy and well maintained. The canyon view out the front picture windows was awesome regardless whether it was raining or sunny. The close proximity to the Buffalo National River (a quarter mile walk to a dirt access road), and just 2 miles to the Buffalo River Trail, was an unexpected bonus. The delightful road runner that visited in the morning was cool, too - the first time any of us had ever seen one.

We had 7 in our group and the house was a comfortable fit. Everyone had their own space and there are several areas to hang out together as well. The kitchen had everything we needed. The view from the front of the house is beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the rocking chairs on the front porch. It only took about 10 min to get to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch or Kyle's Landing and 45 to Cowell. Merlyn took good care of all of our needs. We would stay at Coffey Place again.

Plenty of room for 6 adults and two children. Located between Ponca and Jasper, so short drive to lots of outdoor activities and downtown Jasper.

A group of us wanted to be in nature in the Ozarks and this was a great place. Close to the river and kayaking and near a number of different hikes in the park. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch and looking at the view. The bedrooms were small but that didn't matter because we were not in them very much. The kitchen had what we needed to cook every night. We would go back.

Plenty of room for 6 ladies. Nice front porch to drink your morning coffee. Very easy to communicate with owner.

The location was great. Only problems we had were that there were quite a few bugs indoors and the toilet in the main bathroom (with the only shower) wasn't working well. But the host communicated quickly.

Great place, clean, lots of space, enjoyed our stay. Small bedside tables with an option to charge devices in the master would be a nice add.

We enjoyed the location and the property was charming. The amount of movement in the floor was disconcerting, however, I have always lived on slab construction. Everything in the house was functional, VERY clean, and there is extra bedding for cold nights. The house has 2 1/2, not 2 baths. I was surprised that soap and TP were provided!

Extremely clean rental with plenty of space for everyone. We saw deer and a roadrunner on the property! House is very close to Horseshoe Canyon and Kyle’s Landing. Great host!

Enjoyed our stay at Coffey Place. Home was well stocked for us to cook dinner for our group. It was nice to have several beds for people to spread out. Super convenient location if you're visiting Horseshoe Canyon Ranch or the Buffalo River.

We loved the view, spacious kitchen, and the hostess was very friendly. The house is conveniently located to downtown Jasper, plenty of trails, Boxley Valley (for elk viewing), and just down the road from the incredible Low Gap Cafe. You gotta try the Italian marscapone cake!! We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay here. It was extremely close to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch for two days of amazing rock climbing, and was close enough for a down and back day to Silver Dollar City. The house had room to spread out and was appointed well. Sunrise on a front porch rocker is a great way to start a day. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms are a big plus for a family stay. We highly recommend!
