About this house rental
Families and friends will love our four bedroom luxury home just three miles from Disney in the gated Emerald Island Resort. The moment you see our resort you will know that you are going to have the best vacation that you have ever had. As soon as you enter our home, your children will fall in love with the themed decor and you will feel like you belong there.
It is a family home, so for us to be considerate of the community and other vacationers we do not allow parties.
Our home is an easy walk, less than one block, to the resort clubhouse. The clubhouse offers basketball, tennis, a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, bar, game room and pool. More importantly, our front door is less than three miles from the front gate of Disney!
Our pool is one of the most private ones in Emerald Island. We back up to some of the protected areas so the main thing that you see as you enjoy yourself in the pool and on the deck is nature. The house to one side of us has a hedge along their screen room that adds to our privacy. The pool deck and pool are perfect for relaxing after a day at the parks or for just enjoying a day home.
We have themed rooms that your children will love. We love Nintendo. My wife and I played the OG Donkey Kong in arcades while dating. (Yes, we are that old). We bought every console up to the current switch. So, it made perfect sense when my son wanted a Mario Theme. Your kids will feel like they are in Mario Land when they go to bed in the single top, or double bottom, bunk.
My daughter chose the theme for the next room, which also has a double/single bunk. She loves Pooh. In our home, no joking, I am called Tigger and my wife Pooh. Our coffee cups, Christmas stocking and keychains follow those characters, Pooh and Tigger. How can we not have a 100 Acre Wood room?
One of my older sons wanted the beach theme of the next Master. He lived near the beach and, even though they now live just a few miles from this home, they love the beach and go often. You will feel like you are at there, except with air conditioning. The queen bed and private bath maintain this theme.
My wife chose the King Master theme. For our 30th anniversary we went to Europe. She fell in love with it and we have been blessed to go back again since then. She wanted the room to 'feel' like the Italian Coast was just outside the window. The soft colors are soothing and calming...which mothers of many children often need. :)
Having two master suites makes this perfect for two families sharing a vacation and/or for older children. We can comfortably sleep 10.
We set up two living room, or conversation areas, so multiple storytelling, laughing, game playing and memory making events can take place at the same time. Our house has full wi-fi throughout, a television in every bedroom, and two more televisions in the house--one in the living room and one more in the entertainment room. Our refreshing swimming pool is surrounded by comfortable patio furniture.
We have a real 6 person hot tub that gets hot. Not like the 'spas' that are attached to pools that are only warm. Come home from the parks, hop in the hot tub, enjoy the stars and let your stress fad away.
Our location is fantastic for everything that the Orlando area has to offer. We are minutes from Disney. We are actually the closest gated community to WDW that is no on Disney property. It is almost like being on Disney property without being locked into a total Disney holiday. If you feel like going to Universal or Sea World, hop in your car and you can be there in about 20 minutes.
If you want to enjoy a night eating out instead of cooking in our beautiful kitchen, we are literally minutes away from every ethnic food you can imagine. Our location puts you within miles of any fast food, medium or expensive restaurants. We were there for a few months in 2016, so we decided to eat at a different place every 'date night'. For our entire marriage we have gone out at least one night a week on a date. In four months, we never ate at the same place twice and never had to drive more than 20 minutes. The location is so fantastic.
If you are a shopper, there are outlet malls, strip malls and normal shopping malls all an easy drive away.
We love the beach. My son and daughter in law live in Clearwater Beach so when we are in the States we visit them often. Just take I-4 west and you are there in a little over an hour, enjoying the calm waves and white sands of what was voted Florida's Number One Beach in 2016. If you like more adventure, then head to Port Canaveral to the east. It is slightly closer and offers surfing and wind-surfing. We are close to Universal and Sea World, and easy drive to water parks and tons of shopping opportunities.

Restaurants incude staples such as Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Buffalo Wild Wings, TGI Fridays, Chuy's Mexican, Texas Roadhouse, Carraba's, Macaroni Grill, Cracker Barrel, and Sweet Tomatoes.
Less than 10 miles to Premium Outlet Mall.
Honestly there is too much to list. My wife and I did this off of the top of our heads. You are in the center of it all.
Let me close by saying that we are not your typical vacation home owners. We purchased this home because we love making memories with our children here. We are evangelical missionaries who do not live in the USA, and we wanted to have a magical place for our kids when we get to visit there. We are committed to your loving the time that you stay here, and will do what we can to make this the absolute best vacation that you ever have. Our goal is to have the people who stay with us become our friends and repeat guests.

If you are looking for a wonderful, clean, spacious house for your next trip. Look NO more! This house is wonderful. The pool was wonderful and screened in. It had lights for a nice night swim, and tons of seating area.This is SO close to all the Disney parks. There was plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. This house has two living rooms and a nice open kitchen that is perfect for friends and family. Plenty of bathrooms and closet space. The washer and dryer was lovely for returning with no laundry! The house is part of a quiet gated community with SO many amenities on the grounds. This house is affordable, and the owners were easy to contact regarding any questions we had. We will ABSOLUTELY return for our next Orlando trip. Thank you so much!!!

The pool was great to have but it was dirty and needed attention. The patio hadn’t been swept and even trash was left from previous visitors.
The main ceiling fan didn’t work and the temp inside couldn’t
go below 73 per instructions from home owner.
The TV in the bedroom had no channels that worked for main channels.
No towels or wash cloths were left so the owner had his daughter bring us some. Needless to say not near enough for our stay or the number of people.
The home was in a great location. Lots of dining choices.
Great shopping near by.
The owner was great with our concerns & questions.
Our expectations were high and not met.
