We had a fabulous stay at Sunset Beach House! The location cannot be beat! It’s maybe 100 steps to the pavilion or boardwalk leading right to the beach. Pavilion also has showers to rinse off after being on the beach, nice, clean bathrooms, and a playground area. We never had a problem finding a spot to setup on the beach no matter what time we went down, very calm area. Every afternoon/evening there was a large group of surfers that would gather and were awesome to watch. Not sure if that is the norm, but it seemed like a group that was more comprised of locals and a lot of them seemed to know each other, very cool!
The kitchen was great, very well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, spices, tin foil, storage bags, etc. Loved the laundry that was just outside in a locked storage room that also included some beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc.
Some areas that could have been improved were cleanliness off the bathrooms, particularly upstairs. They also were not stocked with hand soap. The biggest challenge for us was the AC in the bedrooms upstairs. If you did not leave the bedroom doors open, the rooms would get 10-15 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. Even with the doors open the rooms would still be hotter than the rest of the house. I think this is due to the high ceilings in the bedrooms, but it was frustrating.
Overall, we would absolutely stay in the Sunset Beach House again! We had a fantastic time!

Excellent Location- across street from beach - has everything you need & washer/dryer are new - - Only complaint is toilet seat in upstairs bathroom loose & wiggled & shower liner needed replacing (some mold) - I also cleaned the disposal which had black gunk in it - But I would definitely stay again - Easy Beach Access & perfect spot

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Beach House. The location is literally a 1 or 2 minute walk to the beach! Beautiful beach, we found several sand dollars among the shells. The house is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood and has an excellent view of the beach and park from the porch on the top floor. There is a public dog beach on the waterway a couple of blocks away. Great area to walk our dog. The house was very well equipped with several more items than included in the listing such as washer/dryer, nice beach chairs, couple of small wake boards and other beach toys. The 2nd floor bathroom was recently remodeled. We plan on returning and definitely recommend to others.

Great location. Treasure Island and Sunset Beach are a terrific, eclectic was nice to be a little off the beaten path while still only 5 minutes from st. Petes beach. Neighbours are very welcoming...quiet at night which was partiers! Access to the "tip only" cab service was an outstanding amenity offered by a local St. Petes Beach business. We used it often and they were outstanding. Great option when you want a beverage and want to leave the car parked! Issue#1: Bunkbeds were shaky to the point where the kids did not feel comfortable sleeping in them. Given the bed configuration was a key decision factor given we were a party of seven..very disappointing to have kids sleeping on the floor. Even more disappointing was that the guestbook contained a comment on the bunkbeds dating back to 2011 and clearly the owners didn't react when told of the issue before. Issue#2: When you use the downstairs shower, water leaks out the bottom of the house by the laundry area! So as I am trying to open the laundry door...water is leaking on me!! Issue#3: No grill. We bought one and left it for the owner. Someone can thank us later! Other guests in the neighborhood who were renting had access to grills. Great spot for family of four....if they fix the bunkbeds....6 will work comfortably.
