About this house rental

Our home was built in 1921 for the U of M president. It is a lovely property nestled in the woods off of a stone walled lane. We have great indoor and outdoor spaces for gathering with family or friends. Great location for football week ends. Enjoy walking through our quiet tree lined neighborhood to the Big House.

We also offer our home for other special events such as holidays and graduations. We are happy to discuss longer term rentals if needed

Visited Ann Arbor to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from law school. Were delighted to be able to book this house—it was stunning, and also so roomy for our three other teens. Beautifully furnished, comfortable, with everything we needed. Great location to get to everything we needed easily. Owners were totally accessible and provided great check in & check out instructions.

We certainly enjoyed staying in this beautiful, historic home. It is easy walking distance to campus, restaurants and shopping. Our group of friends like to cook when we get together, and the kitchen is well equipped. We loved our visit to A2!

The Ives Woods home was stunning and comfortably hosted or group of 8. We were in town for a sorority reunion and football game. The house and location truly made it the perfect fall weekend in Michigan. The home itself and location greatly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend for any groups taking a trip to Ann Arbor. Go Blue!

SO many living spaces to enjoy, glassed in sunrooms, pool table room, cosy TV room, spacious living room. All relaxed and comfortable, and really stylish. The outdoor space was terrific for us to host a BBQ with daughter and her roommates post graduation. We were able to find all manner of serving implements for all the food in the well-stocked kitchen. House has the most enormous refridgerator I've ever seen. Like most rentals, the (quite high quality) kitchen knives were not quite to our standards of sharpness (Perhaps make a knife sharpener available?). Tes checked in to ensure our arrival and made herself available for any questions during our stay. Overall a great experience.

We stayed here with extended family and friends for our daughter's medical school graduation. The house is amazing. It's got the charm and comfort of a grand old house with all the amenities one would want. There are lots of different rooms to gather in. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. My grandson loved the basketball net and ping pong table. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely outdoor patio. Tes was a great host, checking in on us periodically and quickly responding to any questions.

What a beautiful location!! We love the wooded area and welcoming neighborhood. While we felt completely nestled away from it all when we were in the home or the gorgeous backyard, we were just steps away from lovely walks, other beautiful homes, and easy access to the rest of Ann Arbor. The hosts were super responsive, and the spot was ideal!

A very lovely house, and extremely quiet. The kitchen is supplied with everything one could possibly need, except for an odd shortage of coffee mugs.The layout is also odd--too many sitting areas but only one, fairly cramped, eating area off the kitchen (the original dining room is converted into yet another sitting room). The smaller beds are saggy and jiggly, so we didn't get much sleep; hence only 4 stars. Water pressure is also very low. Be warned: if, like us, you see the photos of what appears to be a screened porch and envision evenings sitting there with a glass or wine, enjoying the night breezes and the sound of crickets, you'll be disappointed: it, and the sunporch off the second living room, are glassed-in, with no screens on windows or doors.

We stayed at this lovely home for a weekend in August 2021 for a wedding. It is indeed a historic home, so you have to expect and appreciate some vintage charm! It has been nicely updated and taken care of. Lots of space for the family to hang out and relax, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Kids loved the big woodsy yard and the sunroom that was stocked with books and games. Very nice neighborhood a short drive from downtown AA.

This house is located in the heart of it all! Easy access to campus and all that comes with it! The house was very clean and comfortable. It was large and had lots of room! My father is in a wheelchair chair and had no problem getting around! We celebrated thanksgiving and the kitchen was amazing - great appliances and stocked with everything you would need! Would definitely return!

This was an excellent experience at the Dillon house. The house seemed endless, with one room leading to another. The entertainment space was ideal, the hosts were extremely responsive and the location was private yet close to anything you may need. Tes was very responsive and made sure my group and I had everything we needed. Check out was a breeze and I just cannot express enough how much of a hit the house was with our group.

Our stay at the Burns Park home was perfect! Tes was very nice and considerate to prepare for our stay. The home is very comfortable with multiple sitting areas, a large completely furnished kitchen, and beautifully landscaped yard. We hope to be able to return for another visit.

We had extended family in for a UM football weekend. This historic house was perfect for our stay. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. If you like walking it was also very convenient as we walked to campus, downtown and the stadium, about a 30 minute walk. The house is well supplied with everything needed, especially the kitchen. Highly recommend.

We rented this house for a wedding weekend. We received no notifications about check in or check out from VRBO. After a frantic email to the owners, we received the information to access the house. The code for the internet did not work, and there was poor WiFi even after we found out the correct password. The website indicates three bathrooms, two are very tiny and there are no walk in showers, only bathtubs. The hot water runs out quickly if you have a group staying there and getting ready in a short period of time. The outside of the house is rundown with many rotten boards around windows. Many of the shades did not work properly. The location is quiet, and it could be a nice place, but inside it was uncomfortable seeing so many family photos throughout. The house requires a cleaning fee, but we experienced a great deal of hairs on pillows, carpets that were dirty and I vacuumed, and multiple problems with bugs. The worst being the spiders on the kitchen table and island, black ants, and brown ants as well. We tried to use the garbage, but it was overflowing and there were maggots inside. When we addressed our concerns with the owner, we were offered a cheese plate as compensation. Really??? My husband wanted money back for his troubles getting rid of bugs. The house is not well stocked with supplies, and it is a mystery where to find anything. We ran out of toilet paper on the second day and had to reach out to get more. No washcloths we’re provided, and the hair dryers do not work. This is listed as no events, but it is clear that it must routinely be used for larger groups, there were dog hairs on pillows everywhere. Save your money and stay elsewhere. Definitely not worth the price for the rental until it is fixed up.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at this property and would definitely recommend it to anyone! My Husband and I were supposed to be wed in July of this year in the Caribbean, but due to Covid-19, we had to cancel our celebration. With so much uncertainty about whether delaying to next year made sense or not, we decided to hold a small, private, family-only celebration at this beautiful home and make a weekend of it over the Labor Day recess. The hosts was more than gracious to allow us to celebrate our special occasion and even host an outdoor reception dinner on the property and it could not have been more magical. The home and outdoor areas were perfect for our needs and had so much character + lots of rooms, space, and entertainment areas to host four adults, and four children ages 1-9. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely experience with such attentive and flexible hosts. I absolutely recommend this stay!
