Simple Pleasures boasts beautiful water frontage in the heart of Mount Desert Island. Breathtaking views of Somes Sound and surrounding mountains of Acadia National Park. Watch local lobsterman, sailboats, and wild life go by while you enjoy a blissful getaway at this rustic Maine private cottage, complete with dock and plenty of outdoor space. Simple Pleasures has 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath. Both bedrooms have Queen size beds and views of the Sound. The cottage has a full kitchen, gas grill and a cozy fireplace and outdoor fire pit. This property is a Saturday thru Saturday rental period

The cabin is literally on the water at high tide. You would have to be on a boat to be closer to the water. There are kayaks, oars, and life vests to use. There is a ramp to a floating dock with a two seat chair. There is an outdoor fire pit with plenty of seating, grates for grilling, and a propane outdoor grill. There are four thermostats that control the heat separately for each room. The couch does pull out for sleeping. There is no air conditioning, which wasn’t needed as it was cool with plenty of breezes.You drive through a boat yard to get to the cabin, I’m a sailor so I loved it. I talked to people in the office at the boat yard, and they said I could use their ramp, like most ramps in Maine it is best to use at higher tides. The cabin has moorings available to tie up a boat to.

Location is unbelievable, hard to balance time at the cottage and time in the park. My nephews loved skipping rocks, kayaking and spending time watching eagles and seals popping up in the water. The cottage is comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. Thank you for being dog friendly!

The cottage was everything we wanted. Super clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. Close to all the attractions of the Acadia area. The boat yard was fascinating to watch and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely advise people to stay here. Just WONDERFUL!!!!! The Champion's
