Mountain Hideaway Offering Peace And Quiet, Yet Minutes from Callaway Gardens

This was our first stay at the chalet. The residence was clean, quaint, extremely accommodating for people of all ages. We were happy to just have family time as we gathered in the beautiful living room and downstairs room; playing games that were provided by the host, we baked cookies and it was so nice to be able to cook rather than drive a long way to get fast food. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch as we grilled in the evening and had coffee and conversation together in the mornings. The view is stunning and we drove around the surrounding areas admiring nature and spent a who day at Callaway. We were thankful to come back to the chalet and wind down. One of the things we liked most was that the chalet was so cozy and felt like we were at family’s home rather than a stranger’s house and our host was quick with responses and made finding the abode easy. The price of the rental was incredibly reasonable and honestly felt like a steal for how much was provided to make our stay flawless. We are already planning for a fall and winter trip back and will be bringing friends and more family with us. We drive into pine mountain and ate at The Whistling Pig which was PHENOMENAL! Was a very brief drive and the food was out of this world! Harris county has some of the nicest people we have ever met. I have zero complaints about anything having to do with the chalet nor the community. Could not ask for better! Thank you to our hosts for an amazing experience!!

Overall, it was a great location, lots of space that provided a good value, however i would perfer for more cleanliness and a deep clean. Some things we found during our stay - dirty dishes, dirty clothes in the washer (and no laundry soap), used toothbrushes and soap in the bathroom. Overall the place was mostly clean but the little details here and there were lacking. In addition, some repairs need to be made on the property - replacing wobbly railing for example.
